Report: Despite Rank Drop, Sonic Colors EU Sales Up Significantly

Wii up 32%, DS Nearly 45%

The numbers went down on the Chart Track ranks from Monday, but again, that’s from the UK only, and the devil lies in broader details.  If you believe data estimates released Wednesday from VGChartz.com, week 4–last week–was another up week for both editions of Sonic Colors in European territories.

The website estimates 33,228 copies of the game were sold in the whole of Europe, as well as the Middle East and Australia.  That is another bump up, about 32 percent.  The DS edition kept pace, it sold an estimated 33,021 copies across the territories–enough for a 44.6 percent bump versus week 3, and quickly approaching North American level sales.  What’s more, this is the first time both copies have broken the 30,000 barrier in the combined EMEAA territories.

The bottom line–this game is selling and should continue to do so through the Holidays.  There are just other games that are selling at an even better pace.  North American estimates for last week will be released later in the week.
