Sonic 4 Discounted on PSN During Holidays

iOS Port Getting 3rd Sale in 2 Months

If it’s a holiday, it must be time for another Sega sale.  For the first time, however, this one will involve a console edition of Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode I.

But only the Playstation Network edition will see the price cut.  From tonight until January 3rd, the game will cost $9.99 in US money to buy.  In Europe, it’ll be €6.99, and £5.49 in Britain; they too are in on the sale.  There is no obvious plan for a Sonic 4 discount on the XBOX Live Arcade, though Sega’s announcement today notes a presently secret discount on the platform will be announced December 30th.

The iOS port of Sonic 4, now with added Game Center support, will also get a discount, its third in almost two months.  Those late to the party can now pick it up for $2.99.  The mobile ports of both the original Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic 2 will also retail for the same price during this time,

Sonic Adventure will also get a discount on the PSN.  The base game will see its price cut in half during the sale, to $4.99.  The DX append will retail for $1.99.
