“That’ll teach you all to get so excited”
With each honor or near honor, there will be dishonor. Compared to years past, being on a list of “The Year in Disappointments” doesn’t seem so bad. That’s until you consider Sonic 4: Episode I, once thought by many fans to be Sonic’s great 2D revival, receives that dubious honor from Kotaku.com.
Though the piece is written by Luke Plunkett, this appears to be a group decision, with the qualifier that “these aren’t the worst things in gaming for 2010.” In bestowing the honor, they did manage to get a Sonic Cycle plug in:
Sonic fans, those loyal enough to have stood by the blue hedgehog after years of abuse, have been saying forever that all the world needed was another “proper” Sonic game. No more 3D, no more werehogs, no more kissing. Just Sonic, 2D gameplay and some gold rings.In 2010, those fans got exactly what they asked for. And it was…yeah. Not so great. That’ll teach you all to get so excited you ignore the “Sonic Cycle”!
Other titles in Kotaku’s bunch include Final Fantasy XIII, Medal of Honor, and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II.
Agree? Disagree? Tell us in the comments section.

@ChaoticFox
What is it you would change about Black Knight (other than not releasing it) to make it better. I’ve been trying to figure out what it it that makes people hate it so much since I enjoy it to about the opposite that extent, just purely out of curiosity.
@Skai Cyan
People hate it (along with all the other recent Sonic games) because they’re nostalgic whiners who complain all the time and can’t accept the fact that recent Sonic games play a little differently (some of them being 3-D, while the new 2-D games like the Sonic Rush series have the Homing Attack and other features that were introduced in modern Sonic) from the classics that they all know and love and that the Sonic series evolved over the years despite the series still starring the speedy blue hedgehog that everyone knows and loves. I still wish everyone would respect my opinion and accept the Sonic series for what it is, but too bad they don’t.
I may like the classic Sonic games (i.e. Sonic 1, 2, 3, Sonic CD, Sonic & Knuckles) but I also like the more recent games (i.e. Sonic Adventure 1 and 2, the Sonic Advance series, the Sonic Rush series, the Sonic Riders series, Sonic Chronicles, Sonic 2006, Sonic Colors, the list goes on and on) as well. So stop being a bunch of whiny snot-butts just because I don’t share your doggone opinion.
If Sonic Adventure 3 will be made, it will be either a remake of Sonic 2006 or a continuation of Sonic Adventure 2. It won’t be the piece of garbage that krazeeKidd102 told me, because that is not going to happen.
@Skai Cyan
Well…if you like constantly waggling the Wii Remote while running forward in completely linear stage design (all this in a SONIC game)…then go right ahead.
@Vulpine
It was a joke.
@Skai
I used Black Knight as an example knowing that most people tend to think of it as a bad game. I myself have yet to try it, although I’ve always been somewhat curious. I’ve just been afraid to try it because of how fucking god damn awful the control scheme was in Secret Rings.
@Vulpine.
Shut the fuck up. Most of the people who hate these games have very legitimate reasons for hating them, and it’s pretty universally accepted that they are just POORLY MADE GAMES. It has absolutely nothing to do with nostalgia or closed-mindedness for most people.
Go ahead and have your controversial opinions if you want to, I’m not trying to stop you. But don’t you dare try to act like you understand mine.
@ChaoticFox
Then don’t cuss at me, then. And why do you think my opinions are controversial? At least mine make sense as opposed to the whiny people like you who disagree. Because all you do is “Waaa Waaa Waaa” like little 1-year old babies and you all rather prefer your precious nostalgia over what the series is today. Come on, the recent Sonic games are not as bad as you think (In fact, Sonic Colors happens to be, well, successful, proving most whiners wrong). You are just jealous of me because I appreciate a game series for what it is (what the creator wants it to be) rather then wanting to change it. While I’m aware that some Sonic games are better then others, I don’t whine and throw a hissy-fit unlike you and many others who disagree.
Think all you want on how they’re poorly-made games and such, but the only reason why they’re poorly-made is because they’re rushed. If SEGA took more time making them then they would end up being successful like Sonic Colors is today, but sadly, they aren’t.
I’m just gonna leave this here
http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=2a6v883&s=5
<3 bye
@Vulpine
“Think all you want on how they’re poorly-made games and such, but the only reason why they’re poorly-made is because they’re rushed.”
So in other words… they’re poorly made. A rushed game is a poorly made game. Sonic 06 was a poorly made game because it was a rushed game. Is it that hard to understand? We don’t hate on Sonic games because the concept behind them is baffling, we hate on them because they’re just not fun to play. And that would be because of a horrible camera, horrible controls, horrible story, and anything other than the fact that Sonic is 2 inches taller. In other words, they were poorly made. Because they were rushed.
@Dr.Eggfang
That was win, my friend. And honestly, if that isn’t how it plays out, I’m going to be incredibly disappointed.
I… I can’t do it. I can’t even attempt to argue with idiocy that intense. Are you guys reading this? Jesus Christ! ><
@soranamineforever
That’s only your personal opinion you’re talking about, not a fact. I still think all the recent Sonic games are fun in my opinion. For a change: Can’t you just go away and leave TSSZ News forever you putrid, snot-butt Kingdom Hearts fan? If you disagree with me so much then leave me alone.
@ChaoticFox
But I am not an idiot, and never was in the first place. If you have a serious issue with my comments then avoid me, that isn’t hard to do. So stop complaining and cussing at me when I want to comment here. Just because you disagree does not mean you put me down. It’s my own choice to decide whether or not I want to post comments, and there is nothing you or anyone can do to stop me (And yes, I always follow the rules and ‘terms of service’ whenever I’m on the Internet).
lol
*looks at comments* You guys are all pathetic.
I like ChaoticFox.
Vulpine, stop whining. You called people here “nostalgic whiners” and now you’re crying. Man up. And since you stated:
“Sonic 4 is just Episode 1 for now, people. I am sure the ‘game’ will improve because future episodes (starting with Episode 2) are in the works and I am sure they will make the entire Sonic 4 game replay experience more fun.”
This is for you, this is exactly you:
http://www.sonicretro.org/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/sonic4warz.gif
Alright Vulpine, we have all said it before, but I’ll say it again just for you, in small words so you will understand.
If you, new fans, like to play SHIT games, it’s a wonderful world for you. Really, it is. Us, “nostalgic whiners” really, really like Sonic’s classic trilogy. And there’s plenty of reasons for us to like it. One of them is that it’s called “classic” for a reason. It kicked major ass back then (made Sonic more popular than Mario), and it still manages to kick ass today.
Now, SEGA announced they were going to make a sequel to the CLASSICS. They teased us with it for MONTHS, releasing badnik art, that “which characters are gonna make to Sonic 4″ major hype-inducing bullshit, you name it. They teased us really fucking hard, promising us the were going back to Sonic’s roots. They promised this was gonna be a game made for us.
It’s as if there was this fine looking woman, with an incredible body, undressing REEEEEALLY SLOOOOOWLY, just for you. She is wearing this tiny, indecent lingerie, but she’s taking her goddamn time. She’s saying to you “I’m gonna give you exactly what you want”, and you’re there waiting for it. And then finally she removes her panties…
And it’s a DICK! Holy fuck I never asked for a dick!!! Why did you change it, I want vag, not dick! And she goes like this “well, I know this is different but many people like this, you don’t wanna play?? It’s fun, lemme show you!”.
Now I KNOW that MANY people have fun with dicks. Who am I to judge? The thing is, we wanted the CLASSIC. Do you understand now? Is this good enough for you to understand? Is it clear? Can we move past this point now? This was a game that was teased beyond all limits of dignity, that it would be a return to the classics, that it was aimed at the retro crowd. Apparently the “nostalgic whiners”, yeah. And then they released this bullshit with crap physics and awkward looking Sonic and Robotnik.
Now I’m sure that you can say Sonic 4 is a good game. Nowadays we don’t have good platformers anyway (except for Mario and let’s say, Super Meat Boy), so Sonic 4 may be ok for some people. But it DOES NOT COMPARE to the classics. It does NOT. Don’t try to push it, cause we are not buying this.
And when people like you say they are gonna fix it for episode 2 and that we should “stop whining”, we automatically have the right to tell you, to your face, about how dumb and demented you are. Because you newfags, you assholes are ALWAYS repeating this bullshit mantra, that SEGA will fix it, SEGA will fix it, but SEGA NEVER fixes anything, you damn cunt. That’s the truth. If it did, it would have fired that idiot Iizuka ages ago and started making what they actually promise us they will make.
So next time you tell us to shut up, think about this. We are actually fighting to give YOU idiots better games. We are not fighting AGAINST you, if we get what we want, you’ll get KICKASS games to play. The truth is, you people are fighting against your damn selves. You’re defending mediocrity. If you guys started to join the whiners, ironically you’d have many more reasons, in the long run, to defend the franchise. Because chances are, we would have better chances at making SEGA listen, and maybe it would finally develop the kind of game it’s promised us. US, you included.
On a side note, a cousin of mine came to my house last weekend and played Sonic 4. His last experience with the franchise was Sonic 3 years and years ago. He played for a while and said “I don’t know why, but this feels really weird. It’s as if Sonic is heavier and slow or something, is this just my impression?”.
I rest my case.
I’d applaud you except for the fact that this will probably blow right through Vulpine’s skull like a summer breeze, and his response will be so unfathomably irrelevant and lacking in any form of reason that you’ll wonder how on earth it came from someone with the ability to read and write.
Yeah, the guy defends Sonic ’06, it’s like defending sticking a fork in your eye. But at least there’s a point there, that I’m hoping against hope that he’ll understand, that Sonic 4 was made with US in mind, not HIM. He already has Sonic games with the modern fans as main targets, us classic fans are the ones who are left unheard (even when they try to convince us that they are actually listening).
And that even so, in the long run, it would be good for HIM to team up with us demand quality. Because, you know… extra quality is never bad.
Unless you actually are a masochist, and in that case it makes sense to enjoy to stick a fork in your eye.
@Andre;ChaoticFox: These are the best yet most vulgar posts I’ve seen in a while and that’s considering you deal with Vulpine’s BS on a daily basis here on TSSZ. That’s a lot of balls. You two belong on Retro.
I think we need to meet up.
@Greg The Cat
I tried joining Retro quite a while ago yet my subscription remained on “awaiting approval” or something for ages. Eventually I just gave up. I don’t even remember my login there anymore, but I’d gladly join you fellas.
@Andre on January 1st, 2011 10.39 am
“tl;dr”
You tell one Cool story bro.
Seriously, join congress if all this shit bothers you THAT much.
I’ve always wanted to be a member of Retro, but the one time I tried to sign up I was sort of intimidated by some of the forum rules. Although they say you don’t have to be technically inclined, I still tend to wonder just how valuable of a contributor I’d actually be.
@ChaoticFox
I hear you. The only way I think I can contribute to Retro is by fighting the good fight, I’m not technically inclined either.
@ChaoticFox on December 31st, 2010 8.56 pm
“it’s pretty universally accepted that they are just POORLY MADE GAMES.”
Would you prefer Naka programming Sonic 4 then?
“It has absolutely nothing to do with nostalgia or closed-mindedness for most people.”
Do not lie for these people.
http://img834.imageshack.us/img834/1866/lolohclassicfans.png
Alright OKeijiDragon, you should read my big post over there, it’s aimed at folks like you. But since apparently you have the attention span of a retard, let’s make this simple for you.
Sonic 4 was made with retro gamers in mind. Not newfags like you. SEGA has failed to impress us, the crowd that actually cares about quality. Therefore SEGA has failed in their mission. It’s that simple.
And Aaron Webber has failed too, I hope he’s aware of that. But I bet he’s one of the fellas constantly repeating to himself “step in the right direction, step in the right direction”.
This has nothing to do with Naka. I won’t defend Naka here, but following your own logic, I can’t complain about eating shit because I could be drinking piss?
tl:dr version: go fuck yourself.
There is no way that anyone would beat the crud out of me with their own little “wall of text crit” rants, because I am still going to keep browsing TSSZ News since I have this site on my bookmarks and I have been looking at this site for years.
Besides, I do not post comments here to start flame wars, I do it because I like to express myself and want to see what others think. I do not mean any harm here, so stop snapping at me.
Remember when one of the owners of this site replied to our comments and told us to “stop it” or “be nice”, and how he said to me that “It’s not just you, Vulpine, and I don’t like how others are treating you”? You should’ve learned that lesson by now, but no, you people still keep being snots to me. If you don’t want to start any flame wars, then either be nice or don’t reply to my comments at all. Ignoring those you don’t like will make your lives easier. Sure, I may dislike all the messy fanfiction and art people create on the entire Internet, but guess what: I ignore them. I press the back button on my Firefox browser immediately and pretend it doesn’t exist whenever I come across something I dislike. All I ask is that you do the same.
@Andre
That’s only your own opinion you’re saying. Not everyone hates the new Sonic games as I told everyone before. I may like the old classic games but I also like the new “modern” games, too. There is no crime in that. Everyone has their opinions on what they like and dislike, each to their own, and you and everyone else shouldn’t criticize me just because I have a different opinion on new Sonic games. I’m sure I’m not the only one who thinks that way. Oh, and please don’t cuss. Because foul language is not acceptable (You know profanity can be illegal in some places. I would watch my mouth if I were you). No more dirty comments like that.
Besides, from what I have seen, some new Sonic games, such as Sonic 4 and of course, Colors, have been doing very well, and this may be the beginning of a new renaissance for the Sonic franchise.
The reason why I love the modern Sonic games as much as the classics is because they’re fun to play. You may not have liked them, but I enjoyed them myself. It’s also because I’m an open-minded person who never whines and complains about any of the games in the series. I know some games have flaws, and I know some are more successful then others, but that does not stop me from being an open-minded Sonic fan who respects the series for what it is. Besides, what if you say is only your opinion? Nobody cares about the negative reviews on recent games anyway, and not all reviewers tell the truth. Just because I grew up with the classic Sonic games does not make me not want to try out and enjoy the newer games as well. Being a “nostalgia whiner” really ruins the future, so much that people don’t get excited for the new stuff anymore just because they think it’s not as good as their beloved nostalgia. It’s like preferring the dark ages (with no technology at all) over the modern times known as today, and that doesn’t make much sense to me: Since there will always be new form of technology every several years. Which would you rather prefer? Living in the “Stone Age”, or using awesome technology from the future? I think the latter is better.
SEGA is going to keep the modern look for Sonic and company, deal with it. It’s their choice to decide which designs they want to use for the characters, not yours. They may either keep the current designs, or they may come up with all-new designs (maybe one that’s a combination between classic game Sonic and modern game Sonic). Remember that SEGA owns the Sonic franchise, it’s their creation (Not yours, and not mine either) and they can do whatever they want with it.
The Sonic franchise is not going in the way of SatAM. As much as idiots want it to, it’s not going to happen. I have nothing against SatAM but it’s fandom have ruined so much (I’m so glad the SatAM VAs are not reprising their roles in the new Sonic games). I always thought the games were better in my opinion anyway (Because the games are the “canon” timeline for Sonic, and that Sonic first originated in a video game anyway).
The “classic” Sonic games still exist out there people, it’s not like they’re forgotten nor replaced with something else. You just don’t like what game developers are doing right now because you’re bunch of whiny nostalgia hogs who cannot accept what’s called “change or evolution”. If you want ‘classic’ Sonic back, then you have no choice but to play the classic games over and over again (Your choice being either the Genesis originals that started them all, or compilation games like Sonic Mega Collection, or in a more digital form like PSN, Microsoft’s X-Box Live Arcade, the iPhone or Nintendo’s Virtual Console).
You should all be happy that new games like Sonic 4 and Sonic Colors are bringing Sonic back to it’s roots. So no more immature whining. You all must behave from now on.
@ChaoticFox
What the heck is wrong with you? Why are you such a potty-mouth whenever I want to write my opinion or what I think about things? I never say such words to you or anyone else, so don’t do it to me. If you can’t respect my opinion then I’ll never respect yours. You’re not a good folk, you’re a bully who’s not nice and you should be ashamed of yourself for your cruel acts. Get off TSSZ News until you be nice.
Keiji, I’m not a Naka-worshipping 2D-obsessed fanboy, I simply enjoy polished and quality gameplay: something many (but not all) of the newer games are lacking in one way or another.
I rather like the Adventure games, but unlike ignorant little dipshits like you and Vulpine, I can still point out their numerous flaws without glamorizing the entire franchise merely because I had a bit of fun with it. I think Sonic Colors is a fantastic game, and I thought Sonic Unleashed was relatively enjoyable – but even those could have been better. No game is perfect, but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t continue striving to be.
I, and a great deal of others, do not bash on this generation’s Sonic games because they’re not “retro” enough… we bash on them for being glitchy, flawed, unpolished, and rushed or half-assed products of sloppy design and bad decisions. We bash on them, because like Andre has been saying, we know that they are capable of being SO MUCH BETTER. Just because something is fun doesn’t mean it is perfect, or even GOOD.
We’re not “haters gonna hate”, we’re people fighting to bring back of higher level of quality to a franchise we love that has been lost due to people with embarrassingly low standards like yourselves. We’re not a whiny little bitchfit minority who simply refuse to adjist – the vast majority of the gaming world now looks at Sonic as a fucking JOKE because of games like Sonic 06 and Shadow the Hedgehog. We’re simply capable of understanding why.
Yeah, there are whiny little brats who simply can’t let go of the past.
But they’re no worse than whiny little brats who can’t bear to see their favorite character criticized without crying and going on a tirade as passionate and pointless as those allegedly “bashing” him.
You think defending Sonic makes you a big man? A true fan? You think telling people like us to get a life is indicative of you having one? You think settling for less is a sign of level-headed maturity? I’m glad the world is not run like people like you, or we’d still be living in grass huts.
Constructive criticism is the only thing keeping Sonic alive.
@Vulpine
ChaoticFox’s prophecy has come true. But I’m stubborn. Watch as I turn your argument inside out.
It’s precisely because you say “you must respect each other’s opinion” that you must refrain from pointing fingers at the retro gamers when Sonic 4 is being discussed. Precisely because YOUR opinions are actually heard by SEGA, which constantly pukes out games that cater to your tastes (which frankly are not ours), it would be only polite to refrain from commenting that Sonic 4 is a “nice” sequel when you haven’t even had the dignity to play the game yourself. Not that it would matter, but you didn’t. And you say “shame on the people who think it’s bad”.
So YOU are the one who doesn’t respect people’s opinion. How do you like that? This game was made, in SEGA’s own lying words, to cater to the retro fans. Therefore, when retro fans say it sucked, shame on SEGA, my friend. Not us.
How do you intend to have your precious little opinion respected when you constantly throw jabs in other people’s opinion? Aren’t we entitled as well? And stop playing the victim card and saying ChaoticFox is a bully. He’s not, you’re the passive-aggressive fag who wants his opinions respected without respecting others’. Have a great day.
@Andre on January 1st, 2011 2.51 pm
I have been a fan since 1995, thank you very much. =) Don’t put me in the same category as Vulpine. When you started to sound haughty in that big post over a Sonic game, I stopped reading your crap.
Yeah, SEGA failed to impress you. Yeah, failed to impress your totalitarian standards. I do not think Sonic 4 was a shitty, disappointing game by any means as you’re all making it out to be. It’s not perfect, the physics could use *some* work, but I didn’t let that stop me from enjoying it. I look forward to the next episode.
And that Naka comment was a sarcastic remark, and you created that example yourself. For some reason, you took that comment too seriously too. Y so srs?
“tl:dr version: go fuck yourself.” You too.
And I couldn’t resist this little piece of insanity:
“It’s like preferring the dark ages (with no technology at all) over the modern times known as today, and that doesn’t make much sense to me: Since there will always be new form of technology every several years. Which would you rather prefer? Living in the “Stone Age”, or using awesome technology from the future? I think the latter is better.”
Let me introduce you to G. K. Chesterton (who??), he’ll respond to your clueless remark about past and future.
“My attitude toward progress has passed from antagonism to boredom. I have long ceased to argue with people who prefer Thursday to Wednesday because it is Thursday.” – New York Times Magazine, 2/11/23
“Men invent new ideals because they dare not attempt old ideals. They look forward with enthusiasm, because they are afraid to look back.” – What’s Wrong With The World, 1910
“Progress should mean that we are always changing the world to fit the vision, instead we are always changing the vision.” – Orthodoxy, 1908
Progress without an ideal is progress towards WHERE in particular, Vulpine? Do you prefer Thursday to Wednesday simply for the fact that it’s one day later?
Keiji, that’s fine and dandy that you were pleased with what you got, but does that really make us TERRIBLE EVIL TOTALITARIAN MONSTERS because we expected something more?
Why is it that the complacent fans always feel the need to crucify the dissatisfied ones?
Does it really offend you so much that we want the series to be BETTER than it has been?
Is it really so vile to have higher standards? Do you feel personally insulted when we say that something you liked could have been better? Is that what this is all about?
@OKeijiDragon
Great comeback, bro. Don’t worry, one way or the other, you’ll enjoy Episode 2. That’s pretty much certain.
@ChaoticFox on January 1st, 2011 4.06 pm
You just blew shit out of proportion out of a comment I made about a simple sarcastic remark I made about Naka, and turned it into some bloated pretentious dynasty shit, same with Andre.
You just proved yourself that you take this shit far too seriously for your own good. You should get a damn life. Go outside.
I’m done with you people, you “Sonic fans” are fucking bonkers, man. =/
As a matter of fact, 99% of my post was directed at the insulting “don’t lie for these people” image you posted. Way to pay attention though, sugar.
You act like the fact that I post lengthy comments on the internet means I spend my days constantly seething with rage about video games. Just because I’m capable of having an in-depth opinion and expressing it passionately doesn’t mean I spend my entire life dwelling on that subject.
I hardly even THINK about this sort of stuff when I’m not actively engaged in “discussions” here. Way to be ignorant though. It’s cute, I guess.
This whole comment war is caused by one thing and one thing only:
Hurt Feelings. That’s it.
Whenever a Sonic fan (most likely a SonicFag) sees even one comment criticizing or showing backlash towards a Sonic game, character, or anything else, they’ll scream at the top of their lungs and pull their hair out to try and prove us wrong. Why? Because they’re just Butthurt. Their feelings are being hurt. Their precious pride of being a Sonic fan (pfft, more like an obsessed fanboy) is being damaged by some stranger or strangers they don’t even know that makes a comment that somehow hurts their perfect little mind-state of worshipping a video game character.
And they don’t intend on stopping. Even if every single point of their argument is flawed and completely opinion-based. Even if they find themselves repeating the same goddamn dribble over and over and over again. They won’t ever stop until the opponent admits defeat. And that’s why they will defend the games no matter how poor in quality they are, defend the characters no matter how stupid and annoying they are, defend SEGA no matter what pathetic motives they choose, and defend themselves and their beliefs to the end of the world. Why? Because their sacred ego won’t let them stop unless it is avenged.
And it’s funny how Vulpine says “Sure, I may dislike all the messy fanfiction and art people create on the entire Internet, but guess what: I ignore them. I press the back button on my Firefox browser immediately and pretend it doesn’t exist whenever I come across something I dislike. All I ask is that you do the same.”
Well…Vulpine, Keji, and RaggtimeSonic…May I ask you to please practice what you preach next time? It seems that you are demanding us normal fans to ignore any comments we dislike when you yourselves start and drag this entire flame war out for days and nights just because you dislike our comments instead of actually ignoring us and moving on. Hypocritical, much?
If you three heed my advice, then everything will progress much smoother and quicker. However, judging from your comment histories (or at least Vulpine and RaggtimeSonic), I don’t think you’ll let any of this go. And if this comment page manages to reach over 100 comments before the day is over, then that just proves my point.
<3 you
^^ wow…
I’ll just stay outta this debate if that’s ok with you everybody. *breaks fourth wall*
“In other news…21 are killed in blast near Egypt”
Oh my…
maybe we should be more concerned about this ( IRL) rather than arguing about a fictional video game character
@krazeeKidd102
Why is ‘waggling’ seen in such a harsh light? If I can still get responses I want, when I want, what’s the difference between a shake and a press of A/B/X/Y/etc.? I will say though, that the the Vs. Knight clashes (excluding King Arthur.& the secret boss) don’t work for shit.
@ChaoticFox
It still has the retarded “level up for good control, hurp”, but it’s still better than Secret Rings. I think it’s worth a play at least though, I think it’s a kind of interesting ride. Perhaps rent it or borrow it from a friend. Stay far away from the multiplayer however, absolute trash.
Oh geez. I’m not a (insert bad word or cuss word here). I’m a “nice” Sonic fan. You folks just don’t understand who I am. I’m not here to cause trouble, I’m here because I’m a good fan of the series and want to find out the latest news on SEGA, Sonic and many other things.
I suggest that you keep all your whining to yourself. If you can’t be polite nor nice then don’t comment at all.
@Vulpine: “If you can’t be polite nor nice then don’t comment at all.”
Coming from the person who’s hurling names like “buttface”? WOW. You really don’t listen your own advice. Y’know, you could just simply ignore our comments if you have a problem with us. But as is right now, your immaturity and lack of relevancy on the topics at hand get tiring. PLEASE. Either ignore us, heed your own advice, or what.
And about that whining those words we write are our opinions. Don’t like them? Ignore them. You’re the one who’s attacking opinions. We’re simply calling you out on your bullshit.
Let me get it through all your thick skulls.
YOU!
ARE!
ALL!
NUTS!
@Greg The Cat
I guess I will have to listen to my own advice if that is the case. Even so, I still cannot stand your opinions if you happen to dislike mine. From now on, I will have to ignore those who hate me and not listen nor reply to them at all. Maybe I won’t be treated like trash if I just simply ignore them. I want to have a positive experience, here. Not a negative one.
@Vulpine: Well, it’s fine and dandy to have an opinion, just don’t try to force yours as a fact. If you didn’t try to nail your opinion into our skulls we’d find you tolerable.
Just please, calm down and chill.
@Greg The Cat
I will try to calm down, but don’t shove opinions down my throat just because I happen to say something. Whatever happened to the whole “Don’t like it? Don’t look” rule? If you see something you can’t tolerate, then either look away, don’t reply at all, or press the back button on your browser. Those things aren’t hard to do.
@Vulpine: Whoa, whoa, man. I’m forcing opinions down your throat? Pause yourself and look in the mirror. It is YOU who need to look in the mirror.
You know, it was once noted that you sounded like Flamerstreak of the Sega forums. I’m beginning to think you really are him.
@Vulpine
Never did I tell you to leave this website (unlike you, telling people to do so on a daily basis). Browse it all you like, I’m not stopping you. What I AM asking you to do is to stop being thicker than the core of the sun. For the last time, this franchise has problems. Acknowledging those problems is why the series has been improving during the past few years. You like Sonic ’06 and Shadow the Hedgehog, fine. But if it wasn’t for us “whiny fanboys”, we would’ve never gotten the masterpiece (by Sonic standards) that is Colors. In fact, the development of Colors was built upon examining fan complaints. Hear that? Because we complained, SEGA listened, and we got an awesome game. SEGA WANTS us to complain, to help improve their products. That’s why they organize feedback sessions. SO WE CAN COMPLAIN. Don’t tell us to shut up, we’re the reason things are improving. If you refuse to acknowledge that, then you really don’t care about the future of the franchise.
^ Well, apparently you all didn’t get the message.
SHUT UP!
Everyone! On both sides of the thing! You’re all assholes!
@Will Pitts
This is TSSZ, you fucking moron. This is a place to argue about Sonic. Now if you’re coming only to throw shit at both sides, you might as well give up, because:
1) This is a discussion that has, historically, never ended;
2) Calling people assholes was never a very efficient method to make them shut up.
Also, @Vulpine, keep telling yourself you’re “nice”, while at the same time accusing people of whining. You are not polite nor nice, you’re a dumb as fuck sissy who’s too coward to stop playing the victim card and stand for what you actually say. You brainless piece of shit.
@soranamineforever
There, so simple. I wonder how it’s even possible that someone can manage to fail to understand this.
Will this page actually make over 100 comments? Come on. You’re almost there.
JESUS! This fanbase is just CRAZY serious! but going to what soran said, it is probably all for the better.
But, there is no use insulting each other over it though, and that goes to everyone.
@Andre
Watch your language, dear. Cussing is not appropriate. Your mouth looks like a toilet when you cuss and say words like that. I suggest that you stop using those words, you potty-mouth!
And no, I do not play the role of the victim. I know how to escape if that happens, and the chances are, I’m more likely to win instead of losing anyway.
I accuse people for whining is because they do nothing but thing negative negative negative negative negative negative negative negative negative negative thoughts, and I think that’s sad. Why would anyone think negatively if they happen to like a game/show/book/film/etc? I know everything has pros, cons, flops and successes, but if you like something, then you like it. Deal with it. It’s better to think positively when liking something instead of hating and being negative about it. Fan feedback is nice, but don’t bug SEGA about it. Let them have the freedom to do whatever they want for a change.
@soranamineforever
I know the franchise has problems, but judging by your interests and whatnot, it’s possible that you’re the problem, not me. Have to tell you, if you do nothing but complain and not say anything nice about it, then everyone will call you a ‘frowny face’ and related words from now on. I rather be positive, happy and successful instead of the other way around.
@krush96
I’m not one of those crazy fans so there are no worries here. I’m one of the good ‘sane’ fans who are trying to make things a better place, and this is all I am trying to do when it comes to discussing topics like this.
@Will Pitts
I’ll try to calm down, but don’t cuss at me. I’m not a problem here.
@Vulpine
First of all, fuck off with your sissy remarks about my language.
Now second, you have already lost, my dear. I know you say you always win and never lose (you’re sick in the head for that), but everyone here, I think, have come to understand that you are batshit insane. Simple as that.
Alright now third. And this is the main point, believe it or not. Listen, we don’t have negative thoughts. We don’t. It’s exactly because we have very POSITIVE thoughts that we are able to identify shit when we see it. Follow my line of reasoning.
We remember everything that made the classic trilogy great. We remember why, for a while, Sonic was not only a charming character, but also adorable. We remember why Robotnik was not only evil, but also unique. We remember Robotnik’s classic design we fondness when we see him now looking like an idiot. When we see the promotional art of the classic Sonic alongside the classic Tails, we understand why every gamer kid was going nuts over the franchise. The game had charm and uniqueness to spare, and it also played amazingly good.
All those POSITIVE thoughts have lingered in our hearts and we don’t let it die. And that’s the reason why Sonic is still alive, because some people remember all those positive things. And ever since SEGA started listening to all those fans that keep Sonic’s past alive, the games have started to get better.
Now, you like Sonic ’06. You like a game that fans and critics, and even Sega said was a very bad game. The part where Sonic kisses a fucking human is one of the most horrible scenes in all of videogames’ history. You, my friend, like negative things. That’s why you accuse us, because your world is upside down. You don’t know right from wrong, and thus you point fingers when people dare to draw the limits. You live in confusion and you think you’re wise for that.
And let’s not forget this very important piece of information: you have NOT played Sonic 4. So really, and I recommend you read this part here one hundred times, really go shove a huge object up your anus. It can be something like a tree or a TV or maybe a bowling ball, just make sure you explode from it and die. Also film it and ask someone to link it for us.
Love,
Andre.
