Possible Sighting at 2011 Toy Fair
Take a look at the video below and decide for yourself whether an early cover from Archie’s Sonic the Hedgehog #226 may have accidentally been revealed.
The shots were recorded at the Toy Fair 2011 in London, judging from the heavy accents we hear in the background. They were found on Youtube by Bumbleking scener Adamis. Take note at the :27 mark, where we appear to see a figurine/comic combo back. The background cover art is nothing like we’ve seen recently. There appears to be Archie and Genesis brands on the left side, and a cover eerily similar to Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode I–or even the original box art for the 1991 Sonic the Hedgehog. Keep in mind that issue 226 will be released in June, the month of Sonic’s 20th anniversary.
Judge for yourself below. Since the distinguishing marks are a bit muddy, we’ll file this under rumor, though we’re fairly inclined to believe a retro cover is in the works. It’s worth noting in light of this that the International Toy Fair in New York City begins Sunday, where we are sure to see more to come from Jazwares and other manufacturers. We’ll pass along anything noteworthy from there.

No rumour, only fact. That’s an unseen cover. Whether it’s #226 or not is the question.
Omg, did i really see motobug+sonic, knux with SU’s egg pawn?
0:26 I see the cover it looks like the Sonic 4 cover… a possible Sonic 4 tie-in ? & I also see new Classic Sonic artwork in front of both the box holding the comic of Amy & the box on the left of that have a new classic Sonic artwork that I never seen before
Sorry for double post never mind about the comic’s cover
Shadow toy.
That’s definitely a new artwork, although it’s obviously similar.
It looks like modern Sonic in the Genesis shading style, but I could be wrong.
I lol that White Wisp figure was placed upside down.
Who Cares, what is it a new game? No.
This is no rumor, it’s now a fact. Spindash.de shows a close-up of the comic book pack, and it is, in fact, Sonic #226′s cover.

omg i saw 221 and sonic universe, you guys pause at 29 i dare you to
i mean 226
It is indeed 226, the close up on Sonic Stadium confirms it. Also looks like there is a Comic pack with Sonic Universe 25, strangely it comes with Shadow and another unknown figure. 25 is the start of the Silver arc, so presumably Silver would be the other figure, right?
