Another Mobile Port, Another Audience Sega Can Now Reach

Today on the blog of XBOX Live Programming Director Larry Hyrb’s official blog, known as Major Nelson, Microsoft revealed a port of Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode I is coming to Windows 7 enabled devices this Spring.

The release was announced today at an XBOX press conference in San Francisco.  It will be part of a steady stream of more XBOX Live enabled games coming to Windows Phone 7, complete with achievements, leaderboards, and more.  There’s no word on when the port will be released specifically, and there’s no indication whether it will on par with the release on iOS enabled devices with its two specific levels, or be closer to its XBOX 360 console counterpart.  Right now, the smart money’s on the former.

Sega has not said anything on the release yet.  When we get more details, we’ll pass them along here.  Thanks to Yamishi for sending this in.  If you have news to share, be sure to share it with us by clicking Send News Tips at the top of every page.
