Sonic in Other Video Games, Hilarity Ensues
Since we didn’t really have something fun to close out last week, let’s open up the new week on a humorous note.
Machinima.com has begun producing a series of Sonic-themed short films. But between all the mediocrity of some recent Sonic fare and Sega’s own past misfortunes, the blue hedgehog is looking for work. The result is Sonic for Hire, which sees the blue guy trying to make money on his own within the arena of other popular games. The video below, released yesterday, is the most Sega-centric, drawing upon cult hit ToeJam & Earl. Other episodes released put Sonic in Paperboy and Punch-Out!!
The series launched earlier this month and already the episodes have been viewed by more than 400,000 people. It leans a fair bit on adult humor, but it’s humor we hope to see much more of in the coming weeks.

How were the results to the poll not humorous enough?
lol Your Hired!
I saw this already.
Cyanide & Happiness has it advertised on their front page.
It’s not funny. It sucks.
@58SlugDrones!
Dude, lighten up. its called a joke.
@soranamineforever
Your side lost, the other side won. So what? Get over it.
Tom, grab those coins. I need em for laundry.
i find it humorous
That was allright, although I’d want to see more of an original spin on adult Sonic humor rather than “lol he’s messed up guys XD SO ORIGINAL RIGHT?” jokes.
Then again this is the Machinima channel on Youtube: originality hardly lives there anymore.
This series can be really hilarious at times so far, but the newest episode is kinda meh.
This is worse than the fan film.
