Another Nostalgia Trip in High Definition
We’ve found a couple more screenshots for your review and response from the first level of Sonic Generations, the re-imagined Green Hill Zone.
They come courtesy of Gamespot, who had a couple more than the rest. The shots show off two more pieces of the in-stage action while in 3D, and another while in 2D. There’s also a alternate menu option screen.

Anyway since I brought up badniks does anyone else find it funny that Sonic Team refuses to acknowledge that the classic badniks got a makeover in Sonic 4? In Colors they stayed the same and in here as well.

i particularly like the Sonic M screenshot where he seems to be running down a stream… Sonic team have taken the old area and added so many new ideas to them, like the giant fish that chases Sonic M through that cave, its all shaping up to be so good! =D

Ah, the hedgehog engine in all of it’s shiny, 1080p glory.
Wow… that first image, with Sonic running on the water’s surface, is very much like a dream I had last night where I WAS Sonic, AND, after I’d woken up, I’d thought of how blasted COOL that dream was… so this is now officially the Sonic game of my dreams. WOOT!
How this site still has the worst system for viewing photos is beyond me.

I noticed that in that there are Red Ring shapes in the Modern Sonic Picture too….can I assume, guess, or hope that Modern Sonic and Classic Sonic will both have their own set of Red Rings (or something similar to Red Rings) to find…and finding them all for that certain Sonic unlocks that certain Super Sonic? or does it give you extra bonus stuff….hmmm…I hope it’s Super Sonic…and I hope it goes the Colors formula of giving you Super Sonic Playable in Level….and not Super Sonic Final Boss….although…seeing both Classic and Modern Super Sonic working together…would be really cool….so I hope it’s a mix of Colors and Traditional Super Sonic Final boss style….no…I pray for it since the Final Boss from Colors left me feeling…pretty empty…oh well…here’s to Generations…let it not be the disaster 5 years ago that was Sonic the Hedgehog or Sonic 06…..

i have the same feeling! i made a idea for similar to colors and i’m working on a idea now that has certain things sega put in this. sega we want you to listen to your fans not stock them until you see a good idea!:D

obviously work of hedgehog engine! How else would they produce such beautiful graphics! Sonic UNleashed had very nice graphics and Sega msut have updated the engine to produce these graphics and gameplay styles! This is a true sequel to unleashed and colors! i mean the model is the same they just tweaked his movements a little so that his hands are open wen he runs like in colors instead of his hands balled up like in unleashed
