If the first trailer alone was enough to ensure your purchase of Sonic Generations later this year, you can now consider pre-ordering the title, some six to eight months before its expected release.
Sega’s vaguely mentioned a “Holiday” release for the game, but that hasn’t stopped Gamestop from taking pre-orders for both XBOX 360 and PS3 versions. The games are listed at full price–$59.99–and both carry a release date of December 31st, which is retail code for not having a clue about the release date. Usually when Sega gives a Holiday timetable, it’s indicative of a mid-November release.
Though nothing official has been announced regarding Sonic Generations‘s release, one if so chooses can at least take comfort in converting all that positive reaction from Monday into a secured copy.

Wow…already getting a $60 price tag…hmmmm damn are they releasing this on a Disc format aye? I’ve been getting used to seeing DLC only lol. December 31st release date seems a bit too late…Think they’ll probably change that to an earlier time like November?

this game’s already been in development for more than half a year, and now its getting an extra 8 months? It better be worth the wait

However… I think I might wait a little bit and see if they come out with some sort of collectors 20th Anniversary edition type thing. I’m not saying there will be one, but it sure would be nice.

this game is going take a while to make the remake of sonic 1, sonic CD. sonic 2, sonic 3a, sonic 3b, and complete sonic 4 game and then on sonic adventure 1 and 2 remake but i doubt it won’t happen since it will make no sense remake sonic adventure games but i could be wrong. so the question what media format will be the best to fit all the games you could play more ?
I thought it would be coming out for Sonic’s/Robotnik’s/Eggman’s birthday, which marks his 20th anniversary…
Anyway! I hope there’s some fancy preorder stuff that comes with it :3
