Plus New Artwork, As Next Sonic Confirmed for Japan
Andriasang has affirmed via Sega’s Japan division what most knew: Sonic Generations will be available there, too.
The game will be out this Winter in the country, as it will be most everywhere else.
Still, such a minute detail tends to bring out more media, and this is no different. With the announcement comes a couple more new screenshots of the Green Hill Zone–both in 2D mode–as well as some artwork of both Classic and Modern Sonic posing. They are in the gallery below.

Anyone else think the pic of Modern Sonic doing the classic pose looks so wannabe compared to Classic Sonic rocking it out?
As for villains, some kind of Metal Sonic or Fang cameo would be great.

Sort of. However, the fact that they made Classic Sonic somewhat badass-looking makes me smile. No longer is he a walking plush doll, but a badass hedgehog.

Hey. It’s what Sonic used to do when he was a kid. He can do his signature “finger waving” pose if he wants : / just goes to show you that he’s never really grown out of it. It’s what makes Sonic. . . . . Sonic : )

In all honesty, I like modern Sonic better, but that’s just me.

It’s hard to see, but it doesn’t really matter, you can find near-full playthroughs of Green Hill on Youtube.
@Knuckles Chaotix Had no idea that extended footage existed. Thanks for the heads up! The music in modern Sonic’s Green Hill seemed unfinished, but other than that, it looks like one insanely fun piece of awesome. I really am pumped for this. Not sure about many other people, but the last time I was this pumped for a Sonic game was back when Sonic Adventure 2 was hyped to be so detailed you could see Sonic’s fur, lol.
