UK Network’s Creative Explanation
You’ve probably seen it by now, principally on Sonic Stadium, but we’re going to show it anyway, because it’s Friday and it’ll hopefully lighten the mood for the weekend.
We’re talking about Tuesday’s report from Britain-based Channel 4 News, which explained for a more mainstream audience what has been happening with the Playstation Network. The report includes bountiful mention of Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode I–though it is erroneously identified as just Sonic the Hedgehog. The real fun, however, is when correspondent Benjamin Cohen noted it may have compelled those affected to go outside–only to parody the whole idea with a Sonic 4 HUD and a few giant rings at the end.
The jury’s still out on whether the physics in Cohen’s fantasy land are up to snuff, or if his eyes are too green to be accepted by the more curmudgeonly among us.

I find it funny that they choose Sonic the Hedgehog to begin with…I guess it does show that Sonic is more popular in Europe…I guess…I don’t know…
But Long forgotten? no…people will always remember Sonic…whether from his Classic Genesis days…or how he’s fallen from those days…but when they said “Breathed New Life” though statement…I would agree because Sonic is at his finest in years finally, (Thanks more to Colors than 4 in my opinion)…and I only hope Generations continues this…

Ok wait… that last bit was stupid. I love how they featured Sonic… I was thinking… ok there’s too much of only Sonic being mentioned… and then they pulled that weird crap at the end. I’m going to go throw up.
You’d think with the report being about a online multiplayer community being hacked into and shut down they would feature clips from a game that was… I dunno… A little more multiplayer. Somehow i don’t see friends grouping up online to play a game of Sonic 4. XD

And I laugh at how members of the Sonic fanbase acts like the whole world feels the way they do. Of course YOU guys haven’t forgotten Sonic you’re the Sonic FANBASE. But in public, not many ppl mention or think of Sonic anymore. His games on the shelves don’t catch anyone’s eye. They’re just casually there. Halo, Call of Duty, Assassin’s Creed and such are the new eyecatchers. lol
Of course at the same time everyone knows who Sonic is so whatever. I just find it weird they mentioned Sonic… and then ONLY Sonic, and even did that parody. Strraaaaange. o-o lol

I remember watching this the other day. I wasn’t actually listening, I was just watching the footage of Sonic 4. Judging by Channel 4′s report, the only game you can play and the only game that is on the PSN is……… Sonic 4 Episode 1.
Mind you, it was ruined the next day when they said some personal details were probably stolen. And then Sony only sent an email 2 or 3 days later. Idiots.
I still can’t get over the fact that they called Sonic a “long forgotten” character. Last time I checked, Sonic Unleashed and Sonic Colours sold well over a couple million copies.

technically Sonic is a long forgotten character… his games compared to the classics are just epic fails to loads of people these days…
also how long do you people think Sonic will have speed based gameplay for? I think momentum was better, featured better level design too instead of lots of long roads… and also had items, Sonics trademark Spindash and just seemed more fun.

lol, i thought it DID add a lil humor (humour) to the report especially the end. lol the reason i think there was so much Sonic 4 in the coverage was because that is what was on broadcasting the new playstation computer. Although the long forgotten part is only gonna tick off Sonic fans and little kids who’ll play anything, most other people will be like, “hey, that blue thing looks familar…..” lol j/k
The camera is broken. It didn’t follow him! And the HUD still has a Sonic life icon instead of his own!
