Three Tickets Remain, and One Could be Yours

We said we held the right to change the contest terms in extenuating circumstances, and this is that.

In just under four hours last week, some 500 early bird tickets for next month’s Sonic Boom event vanished.  Yet for some reason no one can figure out, we could only muster up 19 properly submitted correct answers to our Twitter Trivia Question in 7 hours’ time last night.  We had 25 to give.  The first 19 winners have been contacted.

We can talk about the anemic turnout.  We can talk about the decision to keep the trivia question exclusive to Twitter last night.  Or, we can give the last three tickets on hand (as of Noon EST) remaining.

Let’s give you the question one more time, in plain sight here.  The next three people to E-Mail contest -at- tssznews -dot- com with their first name, last name, and the correct answer wins a ticket.  It’s that simple.

Here’s the question:

What 1990/91 Sega racer featured Sonic’s first video game appearance–even beating out his own Genesis/Mega Drive debut?

If you know the answer to this question, be one of the first three to submit the correct answer from the time of this article’s publication to contest -at- tssznews -dot- com, and you win a ticket to the premier Sonic community event in North America next month!

Many of the original rules remain in effect:

  • Only one entry per person.  If you submit more than one entry, or we suspect you’re using an alias for a duplicate entry, all answers you submit will be discarded. We’ve already had a couple disqualifications on this rule, and those already DQed are not eligible for the second chance contest.
  • Be sure to use a valid E-Mail address and name.  If you’re a winner, we will contact you first to check for validity, and then send you a ticket you can print out.  If your E-Mail doesn’t work, you forfeit the win!  And if you don’t use your actual first and last name, you risk being unable to enter the event at the door.
  • Winners only win a ticket to the event–nothing else.  Neither Sega nor TSSZ News LLC are responsible for getting you there, hotel accommodations, or anything like that.
  • TSSZ News LLC reserves the right to alter the terms and conditions of the contest at any time.

We’ll reveal the answer once we give away the remaining tickets.

Good luck!
