Getting Kids Active and Outside
Sonic’s 20th anniversary is more than games and celebration. Sega is trying to some good on the occasion by getting children off the couch, and staying active.
That was the overall theme of May 15th’s first Run Sonic Run event, which tied into an event at Ealing, West London in the United Kingdom on May 15th. Ten schools from around the area participated in the event, and some 500 children ran with Sonic, which was followed by a 5K run for the adults.
Sega hopes to keep Run Sonic Run running in the future. You can read more about the day at the Sega Europe blog.

SEGA should’ve done this years ago. Hope it continues, and comes to the US.
This is such a wonderful idea. Sonic inspired me to run when I was younger, maybe he can help other children reach their full athletic potential.
Shadow The Hedgehog anymore off, Sonic kids win.
Lol, I would SO love to do that at my school ;D
Soon to be followed by Fly Tails Fly (for flight safety awareness) and Punch Knuckles Punch (for martial arts awareness). No but seriously this is a great initiative that is simple but effective.
Would make more sense if Sonic helped 56% of U.S. people
Lol.
Help me Sonic! Iv’e been putting on the pounds!
So Awsome!
