Also Addresses 3DS Concerns

With E3 behind him, Sega’s Associate Brand Manager for Sonic Generations, Aaron Webber, took to the company’s forums today to address concerns that arose from last week’s public and private demos.

First, if you have concerns about how the XBOX 360 and Playstation 3 version controls, it does not appear they will change much between now and the game’s November release.

“The demo for next-gen is fairly accurate to what the final game will feel and play like,” Webber said.  “I was really excited to see what people thought of Green Hill when they got to play it, and Sonic Boom proved beyond any doubt that a ton of fans are really pleased with how it’s coming along.”

Webber also brushed off that glitch which occurred during a live IGN playtest, and commended colleague Patrick Riley for handing the situation, saying “he rolled with the punches pretty well there.”

Then, there is the 3DS edition, clearly in need of help the most right now.  Webber speculated that what we cited earlier today may have been “fake,” in his words.  But he assured–and did not promise–that elements of the 3DS game would be brought up to par before release.

“They’ll be much-improved, but I know better now than to promise any specifics until I play them firsthand,” Webber said.
