Priced at $4.99, More In-Game Footage
Fresh off E3, the website Slide to Play has updated their preview of Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing for the iOS mobile device. The update included new video, which we have below.
In the preview, a $4.99 price point is pegged to purchase the game. The article also discusses the use of a Sega store, which should indicate Sega Miles will also be a part of the mobile port, with the prospect of DLC. Sega wouldn’t comment on how realistic those chances were.
The preview also states the build is based on the original DS edition, with updates to the graphics that make it feel closer to Wii quality, according to writer Andrew Podolsky. Originally targeted for a Spring launch, it now is being tracked for release in a few weeks.
Another video playthrough was released from the preview, and it’s below. Thanks to AugieD for tipping us via our Twitter Feed.

So it’s kind of a new game then since I never really played the DS one much. So there will be new DLC then? I can’t wait to play the arcade version!
Not like I have an iPad, but I’m not sure if I can tolerate being able to play ASR on there. Looks more like a chore for the controls!
I should note that the price is for a universal app as mentioned in the SlideToPlay Article, that means it will work on iPad and iPhone at full screen size with 1 download, no HD versions to have to buy extra.
Looks like fun. Hard to believe it has sharp graphics like that, though. :O
Sonic:*gets hit* Yes!!!!!
I hope this comes to WP7 as well, ’cause I don’t have an iOS device. I’ll buy it, day one, if it does.
Ristar should be a playable character in this game. . .
NiGHTS too. .
And Astal. . .
And Toejam and Earl. . .
@BrandonTH:
Now I see why do publishers exist: to stop developer teams including ones like you enhancing games and make them actually release some.
=D

It looks much better than the DS Version
