Open Your Heart, Without a Manual Workaround
Sonic Adventure: DX has been available on the Steam service for some time now, but with a major problem: Players couldn’t automatically save their progress. A workaround was found shortly after the game’s release, but it’s a still a sticking point for many who want to try it out.
As of this week, that problem has been fixed. AugieD tips us ans tells us an update has been released for all four Dreamcast Collection games to Steam. Among other items, the save bug has been corrected for SA:DX.
If you’re interested in a purchase, you can do so on Steam for $8.99. We thank AugieD for tipping us via our Twitter feed.

Hm…
I’ll wait until Generations PC is announced.
…Now they should fix the many OTHER glitches SA:DX has… and maybe update the graphics…
…actually… that’d rock…
@speedinghedgehog
Sonic Adventure DX is the updated version of Sonic Adventure 1 for the Dreamcast. The Dreamcast graphics were updated (not in a big way) and glitches from the original game were resolved (although many more glitches were added onto the game). I think that Sonic Team should completely remake this game using a more modern game engine.
I think they should leave it where its at. When you try to remake a classic something ALWAYS goes wrong…
@AM
Sadly, the Dreamcast version actually looks better in a lot of ways.
While the update fixed the save issues, they still haven’t fixed the configuration application. ._.
Also, to me the update ended up making the game have worse performance, made it have occasional framerate drops, but, after restoring the pre-update exe file, the framerate drops were gone.
Bah, they fix one thing and break another. ._.
Yay! *Gets bricked for not mentioning anything bad about it*
When are they going to fix the dx glitch for the 360? You know, the one where I don’t get my achievements even though I completed the entire game.
