“Sonic the Sketch Hog” Coming Thursday
It appears the big announcement made over the weekend at the Japanese birthday party for Sonic was the addition of a special app for iOS devices to commemorate Sonic’s 20th anniversary. For now, it appears this is the surprise work alluded to be in development for some time.
The app, according to Andriasang, will be available beginning Thursday as a free download. It will include a game, Sonic the Sketch Hog, in which players can unlock special anniversary material like wallpapers, as well as stay up to date on Sonic.
If you were hoping the murmurs circulating concerned a release date for the Sonic Generations demo, bad news: That was addressed at the ceremony, but no concrete timetable was given. It doesn’t appear Thursday will be the day. Still, there are some reports to share from the event, and we’ll relay those later on.

Its about time sega released a decent app thats not a complete rip off price wise. I get sick of downloading their games, only for them to reduce them a few days later.

I actually did NOT expect the demo. Of course it would have been nice, but something in the back of my mind just told me it wouldn’t happen. Idk.

Wow, what a TOTAL let down! All this time, on Sonic’s 20th Birthday, this is all SEGA has to show? I was REALLY hoping for the demo. Regardless, I am still going to pre-order Sonic Generations on June 23rd, It only seems appropriate.

I’m sure something else will happen on June 23rd. It’s Sonic’s big 20th after all, and they have to have something up their sleeves. I think we should take this news as a grain of salt and see what happens this Thursday. You’ll never know… There could maybe be another contest like last year!

One thing is for sure: almost nobody saw this thing coming. PC Generations? Generations demo? New game for Wii? NOPE!

Hey does anyone know when Sonic & sega allstar racing app for iOS devices gets released?
No. I think there will be at least 2 stages per game.
Because the 1st one (Green Hill, City Escape) is always most memorable so I think 1st stage and one most unique stage of that game. (excluding 06 because wave ocean is remake of emerald coast).
For example:
Sonic 1- Green hill and Starlight zone
Sonic 2- chemical plant and sky chase
sonic 3 and knuckles- sky sanctuary and ice cap
SA- emerald coast and lost world
SA2- City Escape and compilation of ARK levels
Heroes- Hanging Castle and EGG Fleet
Shadow (as unlocable level maybe it needs to be there)- Digital Circuit its very unique and deserve at least unlockable in this game
06- Crisis City and Kingdom Valley
Unleashed- Rooftop run and EGGmanland
Colors- Planet Wisp and Terminal Velocity

This isn’t very newsworthy at all, but it’s somewhat interesting. I don’t have, and probably never will have an iPhone though. One person in my family does, but I won’t be using that one. In other words, it’s useless to me.
