An Easy Way to Buy Sonic Stuff, but For Who?
Over the weekend, a splash website touting Sonic merchandise was spotted at SonicMerchandise.com.
Until it opens, the website offers visitors to become part of a mailing list that will keep them up to date on promotions and special offers. The thing is, while it’s a dot-com, the site claims to be an “Official UK website licensed by Sega.”
So, will this online store, once it opens, be limited to the UK audience only, or will people around the world have a chance to order from the site? That remains to be seen, but we’ll let you know when we know more. Thanks to Sonic Remix for the news tip. If you have news to share, be sure to share it with us by clicking Send News Tips at the top of every page.

Hmm… I singed up for it and all it does is nothing. Ha, that’s so wierd.
If this really is UK only, then I’m gonna be pretty disappointed. I don’t even have any contacts in the UK any more that I could use as proxies.
Either way, I signed up.
Sonic looks like he was napping behind the logo and was suddenly woken up
If it is UK only, I know a few people whom I can probably hound to pick up some stuff for me XD
This maybe why Sega is trying to do Generations a good game (?
It would be stupid to limit this by region.
They need to do a US site soon. Ordering from Toysrus is just awful and thy are the only ones selling Jazwares’ Sonic figures at retail price. I know I’m going to want the classic Sonic stuff and I expect it to be scalped hard
Please, let there be a US site. Europe gets all the nice Sonic related things, US only had Sonic Boom. Show the love for us too, SEGA!
lol, I randomly discovered and signed up for this yesterday.
Hmm. . . This could be where you find the Sonic 20th Anniversary satue.
So I won’t be able to buy Sonic stuff again? Dang…
@Dr.EggFang
I agree with you, we need it somewhere OTHER than toys r us. Like, say, walmart.
P.S just passing on information, but I asked jazwares and they said sonic figures will be in target this fall
Well that certainly sucks. It’s hard enough to find stuff that’s of decent quality these days for a good price.
I hope that they open it up to more than just the UK.
Recommending this site to anyone curious about Sonic stuff

Site design is annoying but it covers just about every piece of Sonic merchandise out there.
@Cole Alleman
Amazon is a must
Hmm. Interesting..
If Americans can’t buy it there…. try ebay or amazon I guess… probably cheaper there too.
Please for to the eggrobo figures thank you.
I wonder what kind of merchandise we’ll find on this.
I heard about this, the address for the company is in a town about 15 mins away, so I’m hoping they set up an actual shop as well, even though it;s unlikely that’ll happen. I just want them to stock the soundtracks so I can stop importing them from Japan.
It seems that Sega is really trying to make a profit off Sonic stuff this year. Though I guess it makes it sense.
I Really hope this allows us in the US to use it! That would be sick!
Though I’m excited about this, the timing does seem a little strange! I mean, why wait for his birthday, why not just have it up & running at all times? Still, I can’t wait to see what they have on there when it does launch properly though.
I’m really interested in what they’re going to sell once the site is up.
I like this idea, we know that since it is official, the stuff they sell will have to be retail price, right? I’m sick of all these stupid websites that charge $70 for a Tails action figure.
Yeah, I’m desperately hoping this isn’t for UK only. They already get some of the best merchandise, do they really need their own exclusive merch site? Here’s hoping SEGA shows the US some love…
@BrandonTH – Yeah, it would be great if they sold the 20th Anniversary statue, but then again First 4 Figures said they wouldn’t be available to everybody. Unless the site really is exclusive to the UK…
@Dr.EggFang
I use amazon all the time. And I’ve read sonic gear for a few years. But, amazon’s prices are very, very high. I’m NOT paying 20.00 for Big the cat.
Well, I guess living in the UK can sometimes have it’s benefits.
I wonder how many people are commenting here for the 50,000th comment–I know I’m more willing to jot a few words down ha. As it is, I’m sure this is part of the birthday celebrations, and we’ll probably see the site fully unveiled this week. Could be wrong, but I do hope it’s not UK only–those guys get all the luck/fun with sonic. Though we did get sonic Boom.
Man, I hope some sweet merch comes out of this.
SEGA should’ve had a store like this long ago… As well, I’m tired of this UK Sonic exclusive stuff… Don’t they realize that Sonic is still popular in the US as well? Maybe not as much as UK but its significant enough.
@RGX
are you RGX supersonic? And yes, I agree. They get a LOT of exclusives. Hey, SEGA, where here too!
I guess it will at least be shipping for all europe! Finally a good news for european customers tired of ebay expensive prices for sonic merchandises!
It is rather disappointing that it seems like Europe’s been getting all the good stuff in recent years. I’d rather be able to buy stuff without being scalped on eBay for it.
@Raggtime
Am I the only one hoping for shirts and things? I could really care less about the shitty action figures.
