20 Years of History On Display
Our Japan correspondent Danny Russell will make the trip to Tokyo’s Joypolis and check it out for himself soon enough, but in the meantime, with the exhibit now about a week old, a French site offers a lengthy video and lengthy tour or what Sega is showing off.
You can see a display of games and merchandise, along with artwork on one end. On the other are free plays of both Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Sonic Adventure. Tucked nearly in the middle is a demo of Sonic Generations for the public to pick up and play.
For a demonstration of the hedgehog’s 20 years, the display seems tucked away in the corner of the Joypolis center, and you’ll also note very few people were on hand for the exhibit. Hopefully, that tide will turn in the coming weeks. Take a look below.

The man playing seemed troubled.
At :40 you can see SA1 concept art of a more classic looking Robotnik, at one point he in development he was going to look more or less the same before being redesigned.

I m planning to go to japan this year, or next year, i ll have to go to this center! I m a bit jealous of those 2 guys, but for once, they are french, like me, so i can understand the video clearly^^

wow, that place is like a dream. I was hoping Sonic Boom would be more like that.
One of these days, I will get out of the East Coast and give all these places a visit: joypolis, E3, summer of sonic, and the list goes on. Well, I hope someday.
