Celebrate Sonic’s 20th with Up to 50% Off Some Titles
This, in all likelihood, will fill the rest of the surprises on Thursday. Multiple sources–some with press releasesfrom Sega Europe in hand–have claimed Sega will launch an anniversary sale on XBOX Live and the Playstation Network this Thursday, and run it until July 28th.
Most titles on sale online, including Sonic Adventure, Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode I, and even Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing will receive a discount of up to 50 percent, and on XBOX Live at least, prices will begin at 240 MSP, or about $3.
The same sort of sale will hold true for the Playstation Network. In fact, the latest Playstation Blog update details a Sonic’s 20th Birthday Bundle Sale for $19.99. The 1.95 GB file size indicates this should consist of more than just the core classic Sonic titles, but it’s not clear what else is included. Also not clear is whether Wii owners can get in on the discounts for the titles available there via the WiiWare service. You’ll also note there is no demo for Sonic Generations in sight.

SoS will be having the Sonic Generations demo. The demo is special to those who go. Most likely it is only special because it is not yet available to everyone already. Then the demo probably won’t release til after SoS. SoS is in 2 days after the anniversary, though.
It’s just a suggested possibility, but maybe it will release after SoS. After all, we haven’t heard anything about the demo’s release yet and it’s already the 21st. Tho for me it’ll be the 22nd in a couple of minutes and for others it already is.
That just further supports my quick observation analysis. XP Just throwing that out there. lol

Why can’t you just give us that?
Well they might be waiting till the day of to give us all the surprise of the demo–it makes sense to me that they wouldn’t want the news spoiled before the big day. And if not well then it’s back to what fans do best: more waiting.
Sega did the exact same thing last year for Sonic’s 19th birthday. There is nothing ‘special’ about this. A 2-level Generations demo (Green Hill/City Escape), *would* be special. You kinda flubbed the birthday, Sega >_>

We don't know that the 23rd won't release the demo, and saying we want it over and over isn't going to change anything in a situation where the conclusion isn't even known.
At the same time, if they don't release the demo it's no big deal. Everyone's acting like the demo is more important than the game as a whole. Some people NEVER play the demos and just by the games. lol
I really doubt they'd wait til the day of to tell us the demo is out. It's possibly, be not very likely. x_X

it will be cool that they but a demo on xbx and ps3 so we download and play while waiting for the relasse date for SG.

The thing is, anyone how actually cares about Sonic’s 20th anniversary probably already bought all the games that are on sale now. The demo’s been confirmed, but I was hoping maybe SEGA could knock us off our asses and announce Sonic Adventure 2 for PSN/Xbox Live . Not release it, of course, but an announcement for something like that would be beyond awesome.
