Preview Build 5 of SonicGDK Released

“This is the last compiled build that most of you will play”

From time to time, we follow developments on SonicGDK, the 3D based SFG engine written by Xaklse.

This week, a new build was released for public consumption.  You can take a look at the build in action below, assembled by TSSZ News colleague Ryan Bloom!  Huzzah!

Among the additions are Super Sonic, a boost system, a hanging system, a checkpoint system, and more.

“This is the last compiled build that most of you will play,” Xaklse said.  “After I fix the bugs that you find, I’ll release the code and assets so that you all can create your own levels and games.”

On the whole, it’s looking pretty good for SonicGDK, and many SFG developers are anxious to get their hands on the code and start building games of their own with the engine.
