We Know Two…What Are the Other 5?
A long lost E3 video uncovered via a News Tip shows a Sega representative confirming seven main areas to the 3DS edition of Sonic Generations. We already know of two: Green Hill and Casino Night.
The remarks were made by Generations brand manager Rhonda Karl at the E3 show floor, recorded by European website GameReactor. It’s a good fact to know because we can now speculate on what the final 5 inclusions will be. Offer your opinion in the comments below.

What about the Launch Base zone boss speculation?
Hey, they could totally follow the trend of the console version and have the majority of the stages all be the same damn thing!
Alright, um…
Green Hill
Casino Night
Angel Island
Neo Green Hill
(Whatever the first level of Sonic Advance 2 was, I can’t remember)
Sunset Hill
Leaf Storm
AND SOLD
@HyperMetal
…Just stay quiet…
1-Green Hill
2-Casino Night
3-Ice Mountain
4-Hot Crater
5-Route 99
6-Mirage Road
7-Sky Babylon
;D
Too bad the 3DS version is being DIMPSified on top of being ridiculously easy.
God that hurts to realize that.
@HyperMetal
Dude you picked 6 “Green Hill”s.
How about some Sky High or Crystal Egg? I’d kinda like to see Underground. Chaos Angel if only for the music. Cyber Track would flip my shit though. A Sunset Hill version of Green Hill would be nice, but it can’t be a separate stage. How about some Ice Cap or Starlight representation here? C’mon you’ve gotta pick more broad stages. Also, no Space Colony Ark stages in either game? Really?
Well, 3 levels from advance series and 2 levels from rush series, 5 levels plus GH & CN
@Skai
That was sort of the joke – he poking fun at the lack of diversity in the console version’s level list.
I hate how they decided not to include any MS/GG levels. Aqua Planet and Sunset Hill (at least Act 3!) please.
let’s see, sega seems to be including alot first stages of games in the console versions. So, they will probably do the same for the 3DS.
Interesting… So Green Hill, Casino Night and stages from the Advance series, and Sonic Rush series… Ha-Ha, I knew there was no Launch Base! Big Arm is the Green Hill 3DS boss!
Only 7 stages?
But the tecnology on 3ds is bigger than a DS.
SEGA, you lazy bag.
@Josh
They can’t exactly do that because then every single stage besides Casino Night would be a Green Hill ripoff. I also wonder why no one is noticing that Sonic 3 or Sonic 3 & Knuckles can get their own stage in this , not all the stages are supposed to be from Advance and Rush series because that’s not going through Sonic’s handheld history.
I wish more levels were included
…There may be hope for DLC levels :O
I think Sonic 3 is being represented by the boss. Not sure if we’ll get an actual level, although it’d probably be better than getting 3 GBA levels. Personally I’d like to see a Rivals stage appear instead of two Rush stages.
I’m still hoping that the 3DS version goes the way of Sonic X-Treme and the planned zones come to the console versions as DLC. The 3DS version at E3 was completely embarrassing. Who’s with me?
Sonic 1- Green Hill
Sonic 2- Casino Night
Advance- Angel Island
Advance 2- Music Plant
Advance 3- Cyber track
Rush- Huge crisis
Rush A.- Pirate’s Island
Route 99 and hot crater please!
As long as there’s a remix of Jeh Jeh Rocket, I’ll be happy.
I still think that they should had added zones from the Game Gear games. Seriously, you (Iizuka) say you’re celebrating 20 years of Sonic’s history one minute and then you self-contradict yourself by ignoring the Game Gear games just because they aren’t “of recent memory?” You put in Green Hill zone, a zone that’s 20 yrs. ago; and you ignore zones that are like 2-5 years younger?
It’s almost like someone is intentionally trolling anything from the classic history of Sonic just for the LULZ (physics, zones, designs, etc.). >_>
@yeow
Iizuka like one great big troll on all of Sonic fandom. lol
