Sonic Generations Special Edition Now Listed in UK

Upon Further Examination, Not so Special

That Special Edition of Sonic Generations which first appeared in Spain has surfaced in the UK, indicating there will be a widespread release of the edition. But if you were hoping for a ton of extras, don’t hold your breath.

UK retailer GAME have offered the special editions for pre-order, both for XBOX 360 and PS3, and it’s only about £5-7 more expensive than the regular edition. The problem is, the extras as we know them aren’t at all different from the pre-order bonuses being offered in North America. PS3 pre-orders get the Casino Night DLC, and the XBOX 360 pre-orders get that plus a special dashboard theme and Super Sonic costume. Those extras aren’t available on the regular edition when pre-ordered through GAME.

Let’s not be so quick to judge. For example, the special edition of Marvel VS Capcom 3 was $10 more, and it had tons of extras! Let’s wait until we get some confimation from SEGA themselves before getting dissapointed.

I don’t think it’s a Special Edition for the US. It could be that since the US Xbox Live service gets so many “lol u can’t has” extras (Seriously, I myself hear so much about how Microsoft fucks so many people over for all the shit the US members get compared to other countries) they’ve made Special Editions for multiple countries to accommodate for that. IE: EVERYBODY regardless of location can get the same thing that the US gets for pre-ordering it.

Does that make sense?

I personally think those are placeholder prices since we dont even have boxart we should wait for confirmation from SEGA.
I’ve got a felling that this Sonic Wrecks info is about Special Edition and Relase date.
