A Quick Return for Most of the Site
(Due to the emergence of new information, this story has been amended and edited to reflect that information.)
As a few of you have already seen, a large portion of research hub Sonic Retro returned online earlier today, without much fanfare from site administrators. The front page and then the Retro Wiki were restored, and as of the time of this article’s publication, both are active and can be viewed publicly, as if nothing ever happened.
While the heart may have been back, the soul only just returned Friday morning. Sonic Retro’s were offline for most of the week, replaced at first with a cryptic if not sophomoric message–prompting many, including us, to wonder given other circumstances whether the website had fallen victim to attack. We learned on Thursday the forum itself was undergoing a major upgrade, prompting administrators to shut the entire site down while the upgrade took place.

Hopefully, nothing too serious…
Good for them! Hopefully this wont take as much time as SEGA blogs and forums.
the forum of @sega is off … the forum @sonicretro is also out.I fell into a cold , unjust and dark world…
THERE IS NO MEGAMIX LEAK! The only thing you are basing this off of is some spam file sharing site that tricks people into thinking they have whatever they search for. Are you rolling with this because you like seeing people post smug ignorant shit like “now they know how it feels to get leaked”-SSSJSonicGOKUSONIC4LIFE
If you can post honest truth about the leak please do so, there are ways to this that won’t give away how to obtain so don’t use that as an excuse.
You know, I searched for hours (not really) but I didnt find any other place that said that Sonic Megamix was leaked.
Sonical: Oh but there is, else I wouldn’t have gotten in a debate over it with the principal of Team Megamix today.

@Sonical
There is a leak. I have seen it, and no Im not gonna post a link for it.
Sonic MegaMix has been leaked, believe it or not. It´s still work in progress though, so it has many bugs to fix and it can crash in some spots, but that´s supposed to happen, as this is a leak.
You can see the new art style for all the levels, and even some new badniks. If you want proof, search for it, it isn´t that hard.
Oh, believe me, there is a leak.
OH GOD IS THERE EVER A LEAK.
Sophomoric, eh? Maybe they should just start making bullshit accusations and hiring “investigators” then, eh Tristan?
ChaoticFox: If it’s as serious as it’s shaping up to be, the police definitely should be contacted.

Just had a look at the twitter, Tristan here falls squarely in the ignorant “they looked inside files in public demo ergo they deserved it” camp. If I’m wrong here you here free to explain why.
Good. I would rather Sega fix their forums though.
Can’t wait to see Stadium next, ^^
Does anyone think that this place is going to get hacked?
Ugh Im quite happy it happened too bad there back now :\ UGH
@K-Y
Amen.
(EDIT – Inflammatory -T)
@E-25: Yeah, because the site has clearly not gone through enough garbage in the past with the whole losing all their content thing. Ass.
@KY and Aerobian
I don’t care if Tristan edits this again, but what the fuck? What kind of mean-spirited asswagons are you two, not only applauding and encouraging the hacking of websites you don’t like (especially when that opinion is likely not even based on anything legitimate), but expressing disapproval at the thought of them coming back online?
You guys are fucking assholes of the highest order. Get a fucking life. If you dislike the site that much, just don’t go there. There is NO justification for even THINKING like that beyond the fact that you guys are just fucking terrible people.
calm the fuck down
