Flynn, Bates On Hand for Panel, Signing
This afternoon, Archie Comics released its panel and signing schedule for the San Diego Comic Con, which formally opens its doors today.
The one of note for Sonic fans attending the show will be Sunday’s panel, which begins at 11AM local time. Titled Building a Video Game Comic Legacy with Sonic and Mega Man, the panel will cover the state of the both comics. Mega Man in particular ought to be interesting given this week’s news of Mega Man Legends 3 being canceled. Writer of both series, Ian Flynn, will be there, as will Paul Kaminski, who edits both. Archie President Mike Pellerito will join them. New news and teasers for both series are promised.
If that’s not enough, Flynn and occasional Sonic artist Ben Bates will be on hand at various times throughout the Comic-Con for autographs. Flynn will be signing later today from 3 to 5PM local time. He will return tomorrow with Bates in tow from 3-5PM, then again on Saturday from 11AM to Noon, and finally on Sunday from 2 to 3PM.
Full details of the panel are below.

Megaman Legends 3 CANCELLED?!?!
*googles it*
WHHAAAAAAAT?!?!?!?!?!? How could they–I mean–what–ARGH I can’t contain my anger right now! This is below even the stupidity Sega stoops to AAAHH!!
I hope the cover for sonic #230 will be revealed
I wish I could be there to meet Ian Flynn. It would be cool if they’d announce a cross-over between the two series.
Wow, sounds great.
At least Archie cares about Mega Man
Capcom SUCKS!!!!!!
Sorry for the double post, but can anyone tell me what the best megaman battle network game is (from Battle Network 3 Blue/White to Battle Network 6 Gregor/Falzar; includes Battle Network 5 Double Team DS)? And tell me which version is better too, please? I’ve already played through the entire Starforce series, so don’t recommend any of those to me, though I do recommend it to others!
@Goodman
That’s how I felt the other day.
@ Goodman
I’m not even a fan of Legends but I’m angry that Capcom says “screw you” to their fans after waiting 10 years. Ten f***ing years for a sequel to a beloved series!!! But since Keiji Inafune left, things were going downhill from the start.
@Freeze
Absoultely agree.
Now focusing on Archie, the Sonic Genesis miniseries looks great & preview of the Mega Man comic looks awesome.
SEGA vs Capcom, anyone?
Megaman Legends jumping shark?
@Goodman: Now you know it? That game was cancelled a few days ago I think.
So . . they promise to tease us. . . How noble. . . WEEEELL, it’s better than nothing :p
