“Not good enough”
Despite E3 finishing a while ago, post-E3 Nintendo held an event to showcase various titles for the coming 12 months. During this event there were 3DS titles, and one of these titles was Sonic Generations. Gaming website Blistered Thumbs has posted their first part of the preview (second part here), and when discussing Generations notes that the game does not compare to the console offerings. Further, they go on to state that the level design is boring (Green Hill Zone is an exact copy, apparently) and Modern Sonic’s moveset does not transfer well on to a strictly-2D plane. BT even state that this does not feel like Sonic Rush which, arguably, it should considering the similarity in mechanics – such as boosting – between the two.
