But Plenty of Doubts as to Its Authenticity
Surfacing right before GamesCom via the website OXCGN is a five page list of alleged titles in the pipeline for the Playstation Vita. On page four is something long rumored to be coming to the new console: Sonic Generations. The list looks scanned from a series of documents, so it must be true…right?
If one looks at the entire list, there are some inconsistencies that may give the entire thing away as a farce. For one, the above list shows four Sega franchises locked in for the system; while Virtua Tennis is known to be on the way, Sega to this point has only publicly committed two franchises to Vita. There are also several inconsistencies with some titles being listed under its publisher, and others under its developer.
We have seen lists like these pop up before in the lead-up to major conventions, only to have them proved grossly inaccurate at the show itself. This will likely fall in that category, and it’s why we’re labeling it under Rumor. One can hold hope, however, and it’s why we at least thank Woun of Russia’s Sonic Scene for tipping us. We could have some guidance when Sony’s GamesCom press conference begins in a couple minutes. We’ll all know for sure come tomorrow, when GamesCom formally opens for its first day.

I highly doubt of seeing Generartions on the Vita. But knowing Sega, they’ll probably announce yet another Sonic game for the handheld.
Groove Coaster on Vita? Nice!

Well, if it is authentic we will find out tomorrow. However, I doubt there is any dev time to port the game to the Vita, but since the Vita will be launching in most regions in early 2012 there might be some time left and it will make for a great launch game. By the way I was wondering if anyone will be at Gamescom tomorrow to cover all the Sonic news? I cannot wait to see more of Sonic Generations (both on HD consoles and on the 3DS [I am wondering if the demo has been updated to bring forward the said 'big changes' for the 3DS]).
Watches trailer.
1 minute and 9 seconds later:
*mind blown*
Well things to note from the gameplay aspects of the trailer:
The rolling seems to be fixed.
The drift seems to be better.
there’s no way generations will be on the Vita. If all of what I have heard is right, Generations will be out at the end of the year, the Vita…..will not. ( correct me if I’m wrong?)
@cdrom1019
I’m pretty sure that the Vita is coming to Japan at the end of the year.
I hope so.
SEGA said that they would have two Vita launch titles, and I believe that so far, only VT4 was been unveiled.
the only system sonic be on is xbox360,wii,wii u,ps3
i don not want sonic end up wierd other generations console.
so guys should we tell sega to be careful what console they should put on sonic then we waste money on console just buying the sonic new games.
@Phillip
Yeah let’s tell Sega to put their games on less consoles so they can make less money! Great idea Phillip!
If there really is a Vita version, I hope it’s an HD port or it’s own version that were Dimps-free. Maybe it could have levels from the GG and PSP games (Iizuak said no GG levels for 3DS version).
Yay i’l be there friday
Well as the developers so far have stated that it takes a couple of weeks to transfer a game from PS3 to Vita there is every chance. Wipeout HD was working on a Vita using PS3 code in under a week and MGS4 was done in a couple of weeks so I doubt there would be mich work to get it working on a Vita.
