Music, stage selection topics of discussion
Following up from the Sky Sanctuary reveal, an interview has surfaced featuring three key figures in the development cycle: producer Takashi Iizuka, director Hiroshi Miyamoto and sound director Jun Senoue. In it are discussions about the approach to classic and modern Sonic gameplay, as well as the process of choosing stages as well as music composition. There is also more footage of certain stages, but we won’t spoil which are featured.

As always, stay tuned for the latest SEGA and Sonic the Hedgehog news from TGS as it happens.

That guy’s entire point about the Mario thing is kind of ridiculous, as he’s basically just talking out of his ass regarding a misinterpretation of Iizuka’s comment.
He doesn’t really list a single example of HOW Sonic is allegedly “like Mario” in the modern sections and yet the classic gameplay is magically exempt from such criticism despite being THE SAME without a boost. He also doesn’t say why on Earth that would be a bad thing.

I’m trying to imagine what you would do if that massive amount of text for some reason didn’t show up in the comments section. xD Anyway, I thought you had really good points in there. =P
@sonichedgehog
Something like that actually happened many months ago. I was furious! It’s exactly why I type my extremely long rants on Microsoft Word first before copy ‘n pasting.
@Quietguy
…Um… Are you sure about Andre being intelligent…?
@Stephen
Yes, just because he was “bitching” doesn’t mean he hates the MOST of the modern games entirely. He only wants a good quality Sonic game just like everyone else.
Plus you have to understand that he was right about how Sonic 4 failed to live up to the classics, especially with Sega’s weak marketing campaign didn’t help the game either.
But if you like Sonic 4, go right ahead.
