A 2 Year Wait Yields Results at SAGE
To mark this year’s SAGE, Super Sonic Knockout creator VexusVersion released demo 5 and then 5.1 of the SFG.
For fans of the ongoing series, it is a two year wait between SSK demos. And if you were hoping for the next one to come along quick, don’t be so sure.
“I’m just gonna say now that I’ll be taking a short break from SSK, because my summer holiday is now over and I’ve spent a lot of the past month getting the game to this point,” VexusVersion said on the SSK page.
To whet your appetite, a launch video was released for the demo, which you can see above. To play it, go to SAGE and search the booths for Super Sonic Knockout.

2 years made this? Jesus Christ I wonder how badass this will look in another 2 years o_O
You know? I’m getting some MegaMan Zero vibes from this. The “Jeh Jeh Slammin” remix from Sonic Rush sounds great and the combat shows to b much better than Sonic Battle and the character battles from S3K, the Adventure games, and 06.
SWEEHEET!
Oh look, it’s what Sonic Battle should have been. Neat!
Hmm, very interesting, that music. I’ve never heard someone outside of SEGA attempt to remix Hideki Naganuma before, let alone do it successfully.
This game looks as good as Super Smash bros.
I’ve been keeping tabs on this game for the longest time. This. Looks. Awesome.
I’m actually thinking of making my own Sonic-themed fighting game. ^_^
This looks good heck just as good as Melee & Brawl
SO it’s a Super Smash/Sonic Battle hybrid.
Eh.
