What to Look for in October
We have some better footage coming from Sega’s Sonic anniversary stage event this week, but in the meantime, our friends at Sonic Paradise spotted as part of the presentation: the cover to the Sonic 1&2 Soundtrack composed by Masato Nakamura. It’s an interesting juxtaposition of Sonic Generations‘s Green Hill Zone with the classic Sonic pose.
The soundtrack will be out in mid-October. And if you haven’t pre-ordered it, you can through our partners at CDJapan.

cool.
but sonic 3 had better music
I’m glad to hear the soundtracks are getting released. Cover looks alright, though.
@SonicFan15
S3K is my 3rd favorite soundtrack in the classic series behind the JP version of SCD and S1.
Is this release physical or download?
@sonicblare99
As of now, its a physical CD but it’ll quickly become a downloadable album.
QuietGuy92: Has there been anything to suggest that it’ll be on iTunes at all? Unless you’re referring to the fact that it’ll be clumsily pirated within 48 hours of its release.
Also, I can bet that it’ll just be the solid gray background as the cover. The Generations GHZ is just for a decorative border for the show. Kinda disappointing really, as I was hoping for a more pop art composition, ala the original Japanese Mega Drive covers.
Must go to F.Y.I…..
@Sai Start Marker
Not that I know of. Yeah, people always pirate soundtracks time and time again.
Meh, the cover looks okay. Not as cool as the totally-90s-psychadelic covers for all the Japanese Sonic releases.
