Scrap Brain to Show, Triple Trouble to Tease
This year’s showing of Sonic: Time Twisted was a bit different than most other booths. Producer Bryce Stock used this week’s opportunity to demonstrate the SFG’s engine test within the confines of Scrap Brain Zone. It is downloadable and playable at SAGE. To get it, go to SAGE and click the Time Twisted booth link.
That may not be the big news for this game, however. As part of the booth’s attached development blog, Stock also teased secret levels for the game devleoped by DerZocker. If proven popular, those levels could yield a separate add-on.
Considering the secrets will recreate classic Sonic Triple Trouble levels updated to 16-bit caliber graphics–Sunset Park train boss and all–there’s no reason they shouldn’t be popular with fans. You can see more screenshots like this at the Time Twisted SAGE booth.

Look’s cool
While seeing levels like Sunset Park, Meta Jungle, Tidal Plant, and Robotnik Winter being remade in 16-bit is amazing, its sad that Triple Trouble along with Chaos and the 8-bit versions of S1 and S2 wouldn’t be making appearances into Generations 3DS.
They would’ve looked fantastic with modern Sonic boosting through a lively environment while playing as classic Sonic to that zone’s amazing music being remixed. Its a shame, really.
Time Twisted looks like fun, though
Something really cool! The old 8 bit sonic games were cool, but became ugly after sonic 2 IMO. So this had to be done!
