And Hints at 8th 3DS Stage
Aside from one small detail, Sega’s English portal for Sonic Generations will be old hat for most. The site contains all the trailers we’ve seen to date, all the screenshots we’ve seen to date, and all the stages Sega has officially unveiled to the public.
There is one item of note. Under revealed environments, there are nine slots for the console version–the nine stages we pretty much know about. But on the 3DS tab, where we were expecting seven tabs, there are in fact eight. What is that eighth tab? Is a proper zone, or a final boss stage?
Sega’s not affording any hints, and on this we’re just as clueless as you. But with the 3DS Generations still planned for November, it shouldn’t be long before we know. Doesn’t Dimps always have some collage for a final level sort of thing. I don’t think its a final boss stage cuz the console slots all are filled with levels and not bosses. Special stages can be ruled out as well cuz the special stage bit has been revealed to us so it shouldn’t be hidden.

And the console tab has levels hidden that have already been revealed like SSZ, it has to be the special stage.
I’ve never seen a Sonic website where they have reveal special stage as another level. From what I know, only Modern Sonic has Special Stages.
Classic does not.

The special stages have pics on the japanese site so why wouldn’t in the US. plus there are only nine spots in the console version none of them belonging to any of the revealed bosses.
The images have hover texts associated with them…I hovered over Rooftop Run and it says:
“Rooftop Run, as first seen in Sonic Unleashed, 2009″
I distinctly remember Unleashed coming out in 2008

Sonic Heroes is being represented by the special stages. Doubt they would dedicate a level to it. Still think that Rush is one of the games
