Let’s Get Ready to Rumble
We did speculate yesterday the possibility of a full blown trial in the case Archie Comics is pursuing against former Sonic comic writer Ken Penders, and indeed, we’ve learned that is coming to fruition.
TSSZ has learned a date is scheduled in New York Federal District Court on Monday, October 31st, bright and early, for the beginning of a jury trial. The trial is expected to last about a week.
We are attempting to confirm more trial details and we will bring you more about it when something crosses the case docket.

Good luck (sarcasm) Ken, If you lose you better pray Archie dosn’t sue you for legal fees.
If you win you better pray for a publishing company insane enough to work with you.

It should be noted (for the record at least) that Ken hinted October 31 as the trial date on his website a week ago. So it’s not really that much of a surprise for those who do the research.

Y’know, not all of us have the guts to visit that terrifying place. I think I’d go mad with all the trolling, sucking-up, and whatnot. Despite that, I do visit there just to get the inside-scoop of the copyright shenanigans. I’ve noticed you’re one of the, like, three people who actually defend him on this case.
I prefer Ian’s forum Bumbleking, where people are civil (even to Penders…for the most part) and there’s no full-scale forum civil wars. 😀

Anyway, didn’t expect the trail so soon. With Generations, Sally’s fate, etc i’ve forgotten all about the Ken vs EVERYONE (is reminded of that one Sonic cover). hmmm can’t really see him beating Archie, or SEGA, or EA but I guess all we can do is see where he is going with this. But I do agree not many companies would want to work with him after this stunt, maybe an Indie or something…

Apparently he has plans to release a Brotherhood of the Guardians graphic novel series. More echidna crap, as usual from him. If he does win, he’ll find himself losing at the same time because a great many fans will be furious for him for what he’s done and will refuse to get the book.
