Sonic Generations Demo Coming October 19?

No hints on stage, character availability

Earlier this year it was suggested that there would be two Sonic Generations demos, with fan hacks causing information to be leaked that pointed towards an October release date. Now, it seems, that release window has been confirmed courtesy of SEGA France.

From Sonic Stadium and YouTube user bastien061301, at the end of a SEGA France Generations demo a rep – on stage – confirms that a new demo will be coming October 19 (at 6:13 in the video):

There will be another demo of Sonic Generations in the 19 october for the PS3 and Xbox 360

So, keep your eyes peeled for news regarding this announcement. With only two days to go before Wednesday – and almost exactly two weeks to go before the North American release – we should be able to gauge how the console version is shaping up for ourselves.

Probably both Sonics. As much as I would love to play City Escape (and more importantly- hear it) it probably will be Rooftop Run or GHZ. If its GHZ then I will play it for sure. If its RR then I will think about it.

To be honest, I don’t really need to demo any modern Sonic gameplay to know how it will feel. All the footage so far looks like hybrid Unleashed/Colors gameplay, which is high-quality, imho. I really want to see how classic Sonic holds up in more-intense, reflex-testing stages.

You’re about 2 days late on this news.

As for the demo itself? The demo will probably be what we saw in the video: A more updated build featuring Classic & Modern Green Hill zone. This will probably be the Final Demo too since there is only two weeks until the game is officially out.

Still I guess it’s better to publicize it here now since the 19th is the day after tomorrow. Makes the wait feel shorter.

There was that header thing in the GHZ demo. The file header for it listed various trade shows Generations would be shown at and let you switch between them to unlock different demo modes. The GHZ demo was something like “trial_ver1″ and by changing it to “trial_ver2″ it tried to launch a demo of Classic & Modern Rooftop Run (before crashing out due to not having the data for that level).

I hope its just green hill classic and modern, although i got to play CE at gamesfest, green hill is all that needs to be playable at this time, only 14/18 days left

I actually heard the Physics are better than Colors in 3D, and 2D for Modern Sonic.

Wow guys why would you play the demo when the game is releasing in 13 days .. Cant you just Wait??!! Why spoil as much as possible watching every trailer and every image of every level and reading every small info , just leave some room for SURPRISE.
