North American PSN demo coming October 25th
That’s right, the Sonic Generations demo is coming a day early according to a SEGA blog post. The release is for North America and Europe through Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation Network, with the PSN demo still set for a October 25th release in North America.
The stage being featured is still the same: Green Hill Zone, with Classic and Modern Sonic. Regarding time of release, it has not been mentioned, so any confirmations will be added to this post as soon as we hear them (so stay very, very tuned!).

Someone’s said to me why people are getting confused, and slightly nonsensical as it is, it clears up the confusion quite a bit:
PSN’s EU demo for Sonic Generations comes out tomorrow morning for those in Europe. However, the demo’s release probably being based on US time zones, if you were to download the EU demo in the US, you would get it tonight. So going by the US time zones the demo is released tonight. But the morning for us Europeans.

I don’t think so. The main European time that they mostly go by is 6 hours ahead of U.S. Central Time. That would mean that in Europe it’d have to come out at 5:59am or sooner for Europe. Or something along those lines.
Oh well. I don’t really care. It’s just a demo.

Did SEGA ever say that the one in the U.S. would actually be on the 18th? Cuz looking at the article it sounds like only XBLA for Europe is.
But then there’s that whole “updates everywhere at the same time” deal. But ppl keep saying that’s for PSN, then that it’s actually for XBLA, then that’s it’s for PSN. Which is it?
And you know what, maybe the demo does come out today but we don’t see it til the update. Kinda makes the release date pointless but still possible. lol

Well the Xbox Marketplace was updated with two demo’s earlier (Dance Central 2 and Need for Speed: The Run specifically) that appeared simultaneously. Shouldn’t Sonic Generations have been there too?

alright I live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada… and i made an account on my PS3 with a PSN saying I live in London, England… it’s 3:41 where I live so I’m not sure what time that would mean it is in England… and I’m waiting for the demo… plus I never had a PS3 to play the first one… it’s sad since I bought the PS3 to actually play Sonic Generations and i won’t get it until Cristmas, and I feel like I won’t be able to play the demo…

I heard something about making an EU account? I think you can get the demo that way. I’m not entirely sure as I don’t have a PS3.
I hate microsoft so much!!! The demo is there but it says you need a gold membership to have it!! That is some BS!!! These 2 weeks will be painful without a taste of wat the game is like cuz stupid XBL wants a gold membership 4 the demo! Why do u need a frikin gold membership just to play a demo of a game that is coming out 2 weeks from now! smh

@Ophelia It isn’t on the EU site either but it is on the console marketplace under demos. you might find it there, it’s listed after the 2 demos that were released earlier.

@Shan the Hedgehog : Just be patient. PSN in all regions never updates typically until much later in the day. I remember I had to wait until 10 or 11 my time (which is your time too as I live in the same area) before Sonic 4 was updated onto PSN. So I’d expect it more around 5/6 our time (since that’s about 10/11 Europe time).
I guess I will see if this is out when I return from work then.
Having played the demo through a couple of times I have to say I am absolutely pumped for this now. I’m still trying to work out how tricks off of jumps work in modern though. I sometimes do it, I sometimes don’t. How do you actually do it?

Just finished playing the demo on my Xbox 360 several times. And it is a great game, I was afraid that the fact that it played like Colors/Unleashed it might not be that great. But now i am even more excited for the full game, so these next two weeks are going to be extremely unbearable.
Although I am having trouble with jumping tricks. :-/
