New Trailer and Plenty of Wii Screenshots
While many of our resources were dedicated to covering New York Comic Con last week, we neglected to bring you a couple media dumps from Mario and Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games from the past week.
So, better late than never: Following the embedded Youtube trailer Sega of America uploaded today that showcases the many party games planned for this third series installment, you can take a look at more than 60 screenshots from the Wii version, in full resolution. The shots cover a variety of sports including synchronized swimming, the uneven bars, beach volleyball, and more. The shots are from Sega’s product page for the game.
Thanks to SenatorGab for tipping us about the trailer. If you have news to share, be sure to share it with us by clicking Send News Tips at the top of every page.

I hope the next Mario&sonic is not Olympic it’s getting old now. we need a story game.
Do I see Mario and Sonic holding hands?
Is very confusing tbh
The dream events (?) look like they’re going in the direction I’ve alwas wanted Mario Party to go, slightly more skill based and a little less luck based. Skate Board Skamper and Key-paway were my shit back in the day. Fuck all these new minigames though.
Mario Party-like mode without board in Mario & Sonic? I totally called it
Woot! Platforming!
I’ve actually seen a general decrease in chance-based games in Mario Party as the series has gone on. From Mario Party 6 and onwards, I’ve noticed that there are none in the end-of-turn bunch; they’re all bunched up into the Battle group and side stuff.
Whoa! It’s totally weird seeing Metal Sonic RUN instead of . . . you know. . . . hover o.o
I’m not gonna lie….This looks very boring. Wouldn’t be my first party-game choice if I were shopping… xp
W00t! got credited! anyways, this game keeps getting better and better!
It’s cool I guess, but the Olympics thing got old after the 1st one. I might pick it up on 3DS next year, but that’s if there is nothing else to buy around that time. Really, we need Mario and Sonic in a much more awesome game. Having them together used to be an amazingly cool thing, but now it just means “oh look, an olympic game on a system alotta gamers don’t even use anymore and on top of that, it looks like shit on my TV” (the first olympics looked good for a Wii game, the second one had a serious framerate drop and a lower resolution)
