Part of Today’s JP Site Update
In addition to the released shots of Sky Sanctuary, Sega of Japan also updated the 3DS site of the Sonic Generations Japanese portal with a couple more shots from both Modern and Classic stages of Emerald Coast.
We’ve added those shots to the gallery below. There are three of each stage, including a peek how classic Sonic handles the whale chase. If you’ve read our preview of the 3DS version, you would know that portion in particular looks a lot better than it plays.

It seems like the Whale in classic Sonic’s level does the exact same thing the GUN truck does in City Escape
it bothers me when people dont think that this game is on a 2 inch tall screen if you look at it at a distance and not enlarged it looks like one awesome game not all pixely

Am with Lucas in this, it looks just horrible.
Lucas and C.Kasady, have you not seen gameplay of this? The thing with 3DS is that it’s hard to take screenshots of – if you look at KH 3DS or Super Mario 3D Land screenshots they don’t look nearly as good as the trailers make them look either (however, the trailers add post effects so it looks like it does on the screen- the screens have a sort of natural anti aliasing to them, it’s hard to explain.
Anyways, who cares about the graphics? The game plays great IMO, that’s all that should matter. (I’ve played a demo)

So yea thanks @Cerveza and yea the screenshots and gameplay looks bumpy because its on a Computer Screen,Laptop Screen im sure if you played the game with the 3D slider fully on, it would look wonderful.

sonic generations 3DS haven’t a good gameplay too. This is the problem.
This is a balance (graphic, gameplay, details, history).
Sonic Generations HD have a good classic gameplay btw and awesome graphics. (sonic roll is the big problem of generations HD, search for generations demo hack, and they fixed roll problem).

Depends. The main thing is for the game to be fun, which I think it will be. And yes, for someone who HAS played the demo and is not biased towards the console versions, IS THE 3DS VERSION GOOD? I need an answer once and for all!
As far as I can tell, it’s much better than before, but that doesn’t mean it’s good. It’s definitely improving though!
These are images of 3D gameplay. The graphics for this game are MEANT for 3D. Obviously looking at a 2D image of 3D gameplay, the graphics are crap.
to all you retards who keep complaining about the 3DS graphics, its a fucking handheld. The only handheld I’ve ever seen with better graphics is the Vita, and its not even out yet, so you can’t really bring that into discussion.
Hey TSSZ staff, is there any way you could make thumbnails on articles actually lead directly to the image itself? It’s so annoying clicking a thumbnail in an article to be taken to a page just for that thumbnail and then have to click it again to actually see the full image.
