Wide Variety of Input for Price Point
The results of the latest TSSZ News @Issue poll indicate varying opinions on how much fans are willing to pay for the upcoming re-release of Sonic CD.
Our poll received 1,257 votes, and the clear winner was a plurality vote. Some 42 percent of respondents are willing to pay $10 for the game. Interestingly enough, the next highest amount of votes went to the $5 option, at 21 percent. Another 14 percent said they would only be willing to pay less than 5 bucks for it.
Rounding out the votes were the 13 percent of respondents who said they’d be willing to pay $15, and another ten percent who said it’s worth more than $15.
It may be helpful to look at the poll in a different way, wherein more than three-quarters of those who responded said they would only be willing to pay $10 or less.
A new poll is now available to vote on. You can discuss these results below in our comments.

Was the poll up before Tails was announced as a playable character?
^ yes it was
I’d say $10 is a fair price for the game.
Regrads to the new poll: I don’t like classic Sonic having the HA, but if someone else likes acquire for him, its their thing.
I don’t know why there are people upset about an optional ability for classic Sonic. If you want to be technical about it, classic Sonic did in fact have the homing attack. Was Sonic 3D blast that easily forgotten? The Homing Attack was a power up that originated with that game, way back in 1995 or 1996.
Wut iz plurality? I iz confusded.
I’d say $15. I know I’d expect to pay £10 for it, but I have no idea how much that is in $ so I just rounded it up (down?) to $15.
I actually voted “less than $5,” mostly because I’ve actually played the game and always thought it was kind of lousy; a new spindash and the addition of Tails isn’t enough to save it for me. If I want to torture myself with the terrible level design again, I’ll just boot up Gems Collection.
I’ll pay any price for Sonic CD. It had an awesome soundtrack from both regions, all platforming (yeah, meaning no “GO TO THE GOAL” only biz), same stages but different designs, and so much more.
They need to release for Wii as well… but getting it for PSN. Xbox can’t handle anymore downloads after downloading all the Generations DLCs and the XBL updates.
I’d agree with Mecha if they actually gave you a choice. The HA costs your whole custom bar, it doesn’t give you too much actual choice.
@Solar
Woo, high five on that one.
@Mecha
That’s stupid. A temporary (and easily lost) power up is not at all comparable to an all-the-time standard ability.
Yes, it’s optional, and I don’t really have a problem with that in this game… but your justification is still retarded XD
