Skills–And Glitches–Pay the Bills
Now that the game’s been out for a couple weeks, it’s time for many fans to turn their attention toward tackling the top of Sonic Generations’s online leaderboards.
Allow us to try and destroy your hopes and dreams. The two videos below are a small sampling of some insane speedruns. The thing is, they are skill-enabled, and skills can’t be used in the online rankings. But a lot of this looks like it could be done with the simple set of moves, between the boost and the stomp technique–and by exposing a few level design flaws. You just have to know what you’re doing and where you’re going–and the folks behind the speedruns below certainly do.

That was… You know what? I’m not even sure how to describe that.
The Chemical plant glitch happened to me on my first try…I was jumping like a maniac on every slope just to see if I could get to some bonus ring or something and landed there, triggered the glitch, fell to my death, and screamed “SONIC 06 IN MY GENERATIONS NUUUUUU!”
All in all I learned not to jump there…I jumped everywhere else and found some really fun glitches…but I was scared for a minute when I triggered the Chemical plant glitch on my first try…lol
Did it just not have enough time to load that section of the stage or something…?

I spent all my time making my best speedrun of Chemical Plant and some magnificent bastard breaks the entire level???

Well while your having fun doing those speed runs I’m having a migraine capturing all them red rings…yeah some R easy to nab…others my gawd…what were they thinking on some of them…I swear they were placed strategically to mess with me LOL. GBTNB!(God Bless The Nostalgia Baby!)
