Grab a Slice of “Real NY Pizza” in Corona Del Mar
We kind of have an idea what Jun Senoue has been up to of late, what with all the re-released Sonic soundtracks for the hedgehog’s 20th anniversary. But what about the other half of Crush 40?
It turns out Johnny Gioeli has a bit of entrepreneurial spirit in him. Below, we have a video of him speaking at the Taste of Newport expo near Newport Beach, CA this past September. Gioeli is a business partner in Johnny’s Real NY Pizza in Corona Del Mar, and if you’re in the neighborhood, he really wants you to try a slice. The place even has its own Facebook page, though it hasn’t been updated in a while.
There’s no word on if Senoue or the rest of the band have given the place a try.

For the record, Newport Beach is a region of Orange County, bordering Los Angeles County to the south. It’s at practically the opposite corner of the country from New York City.
Also, does this mean Jun Senoue lives in southern California now? I’m sure the two of them need to meet in person a lot if they actually are a musical band.
