An early sale of Sonic Generations for Nintendo 3DS has emerged in Germany. SSMB forumer Thigolf said this morning he was able to purchase the game from a local Gamestop retailer.
From that, numerous new details have been revealed as curious forumers continue to ask questions. Chief among those tidbits, we’ve learned of two new bosses in-game: Biolizard from Sonic Adventure 2, and Egg Emperor from Sonic Heroes. Thigolf summed up the rest of what he learned from playing the game quite nicely:
*The only characters in the game are Sonic, Tails, Eggman and the rivals.
*After you beat the boss (or Green Hill in the first era) youre free to choose which zone and act of the era you wanna do first.
*After you beat the rival of an era, the boss is unlocked
*The rivals are all races like Metal Sonic in Sonic CD and take part in Casino Night, Radical Highway and Tropical Resort
*In the Special Stages, you collect the orbs to get the boost and chase the emerald. You have to catch him within 1:30 min.
*Classic Sonic unlocks the homing attack after the classic era, Modern Sonic unlocks the stomp after the Dreamcast era.
*You can find the electric shields from the Advance and Rush games for Classic Sonic
*The missions cost 5 Playcoins each

*The Whale in Classic Emerald Coast destroys the path behind you kind of like the Truck in the HD Version does
*In Modern Emerald Coast, he jumps out of the water and you have to do a little quick time event to make him crash against the wall (poor guy)
*Modern Radical Highway has lots of grinding parts on the bridge
*In Water Palace Classic Sonic needs to activate the switches to make the water pumps, that shoot you up, work (could be gramatically false, sorry) The level also has a bubble machine that creates bubbles you can jump on so you can cross holes
*The Back 2 Back remix in the Modern Level seems more funky and has more rock elements
*Classic Tropical Resort seems to be based more on the DS Version of Colors designwise, he also has the DS exclusive Red Wisp and has a Rocket Part at the end where so jump from rocket to rocket before they explode to get up
*Modern Tropical Resort is more based on the Wii Version and has the Cyan Wisp, at the end you grind on rails and you have to avoide falling meteors

Song’s too fast-paced for my liking. Might work in-game, but I’d never be able to listen to it by itself. It doesn’t feel like a fast-paced song with good timing, but just like a sped-up version of a song that used to be.
A lot of the handheld tracks tend to feel like that though. Maybe that’s why I’ve never really bothered with those OSTs.
So does this mean Heroes is a modern game, or did they just forget how awesome the Egg Lancer and the Nega Wisp Armor were?

Seaside hill in SG HD confirms that Heroes is DreamCast era, but yeah, the Egg Emperor challenges that ideal. I dunno. *Is confused*.
Also, mental blank, which one is egg lancer?
@RaymanFan1: Yes, TE is there too. And the Egg lancer was the Egg Beetle and Egg Devil Ray (the laser thingy) combined, fought in Adabat.

Hah, Biolizard? Interesting… So, in the console version, he fights a Super Sonic boss and a Werehog boss. In the handheld version, he plays in a Shadow level and fights a Shadow boss. Pretty cool…
Also interesting how they threw Egg Emperor there to fill in the lack of a stage from Heroes.
Also, in both versions, the same three rivals are fought, and Classic Eggman and Modern Eggman are both fought as the first and third main boss, respectively. For the second, a giant monster final boss is fought each time (Perfect Chaos and Biolizard). Neato.
Still love the fact that Radical Highway is in. ^^

I apologize to myself for judging it before I saw the final stages and aspects.
I admit, I did think the 3DS version was gonna suck ass after seeing the stages, but when I saw Water Palace, saw the review score it got, and found out my 2 favorite bosses in Sonic history are gonna be in this version, my ejaculation level got too high and I had to have a Mega Sonicgasm
Horrible level design with horrible badnick strategic positions.
3DS version looks horrible aka Sonic 4 EP1 level design.
Sorry but in comparison to Seaside Hill in the HD version, Emerald Coast looks extremely boring.

Yea i heard the 3DS Version took about 3 Hours to beat+100Missions is about 15 Days to Complete at a 100% Average.
Compared to the Console it takes like the 1st 2 Hours or so. And the missions about 4 to 5 Hours.
@Shade – It said Biolizard, not Final Hazard. I cannot wait to hear a remix of Biolizard! Unless SEGA screws us over, and uses Live and Learn. I’m serious that song is being overused.

You asked about the story, and I told you how long the story was. No need to get defensive. I don’t like to compare SG HD and 3DS. There’s no point in arguing which is the better version of the game, because it’s all subjective and not based on fact.

Ehh Seeing how Dimps is actually paying off now is getting me hyped up for Biolizard.
He Might Get a Faster Pumped Remix Which im Happy about, I think he might fight Classic Sonic because in his fight you ran a circle around him and counter attacked on him.
And i think Classic Sonic will fight him because of the fact that he will learn homing attack after dreamcast era.
