Egg Emperor, Biolizard on Display
Our last screenshot dump of the day is a fairly small one. Below in our gallery, also courtesy of French website Sega-Mag.com, are eight screenshots detailing the other two proper in-game bosses before both Sonics face Time Eater.
Egg Emperor and Biolizard make an appearance in-game. You’ll see that modern Sonic tackles both bosses, and the action is reformatted to take advantage of the 3DS’s more compact form.
Have a look in the gallery below. When you’re done, if you haven’t already, we have several dozen more screenshots from Tropical Resort and Water Palace to share.

Doesn’t matter much to me, I’ve seen all the full playthroughs.
I can’t wait so fight Biolizard!! Just another choas battle
Biolizard was a bit of a prick…but the egg emperor was just an annoying bastard!!! Man I had some fun trying to keep him from charging my ass LOL. Fortunately I had a computer that had the jitters at the time LOL so it made that game alot easier to do my moves and judge my next move easier.
Wait, both these bosses originally existed during the Dreamcast era…how does that work?
@ry64: looks like someone never played sonic adventure 2
@timothy: Actually, I did, and Sonic Adventure 2 is one of my favorites. Sonic Generations clearly pairs SA2 and Sonic Heroes in the same era, so how come two bosses from the same era are in the game? It wasn’t like that in the console version, so this makes no sense whatsoever.
@ry64 Heroes wasn’t on the Dreamcast, so it can be considered both a DC and Modern era game. Why?
1. DC era: Because it came out in the same generation the dreamcast came out
2. Modern Era: It was the first Sonic game released on a Non-sega console.
@lolwut: SEGA clearly places Heroes in the Dreamcast era. Games aren’t separated into eras by the console, they’re separated by their style of gameplay, and Heroes has gameplay similar to the Adventure games. The era just happens to be called the Dreamcast era. I prefer calling it the Adventure era myself.
@lolwut The first modern game was Rush, and every mainstream gane after it up until Generations is a Modern Game. It’s based on gameplay and speed.
