Part of Apparent Cosplay Contest

Hopefully, our readers from France will help us with the inner details of what we’re about to tell you–if they’re not feverishly itching to participate in the contest themselves!

We’ve learned via the Sega France run blog The Blue Room of a contest underway in the territory.  The translation is a bit rough, but all they appear to be asking for is a picture of the contestant and friends gathered together dressed as Sonic and company–sort of a creative take on cosplay.  One grand prize winner will get something you may rarely see on Ebay ever again…plus something you may never see auctioned.

The big winner gets a Sonic 20th anniversary statue, plus a Sonic Generations European press kit, the CE, and what’s below: A giant, life-size Sonic Generations statue, the base of which measures 2 meters, or more than six and a half feet, in diameter.  The blog says only about twenty of these have been made.

Four more second prizes will get everything but the giant statue.  Five more third place winners will just get the press kit.  The contest is only open to residents inside mainland France.  Entries are only being taken until December 11th at midnight local time.

For the rest of us who can’t participate, we can only say Sega France just upped the ante for giveaways the rest of the year…if not all years.  Your move, Free Stuff Fridays.
