M&S 2012 Also Benefits from Full Week of Sale
With the added release of Sonic Generations on Nintendo 3DS, all versions of the game reaped rewards in the official UK Chart Track ranks ending last Saturday, November 26th. The interesting thing, however, is no single version of the game cracked the individual multiformat top 40.
Instead, the all format chart showed the combined Generations sales moving up 12 places to 25th overall. It is a much needed boost from near peril last week, almost dropping out of the top 40.
Per individual system, the 3DS version debuted 4th for the week, only having two days of sale. The PS3 version climbed 3 places to 13th, while the XBOX 360 version ticked up two places to 21st on that system.
We will see how Generations fares this week, with a full week of sale on the 3DS, next week. We may already have an idea, considering Mario and Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games enjoyed a nice boost. That game, currently only out for Wii hit 13th in the multiformat top 40. On the individual top 40, it hit 14th.
We will have the latest numbers and guesstimates for both Europe and North America when they are made available. But for now, seeing the bump in Britain, there may be hope for a Black Friday boost domestically.
