Not Bad for a Week’s Fundraising

With the incentive of a 20th Anniversary Sonic statue up for grabs, the Sonic community quickly came together raise money for the family of Dan Green last week.

GreenAid, as it was dubbed on The Sonic Stadium, was to benefit the former Knuckles voice artist and his two newborn children. Michal Lura Friedman, Green’s wife, died while giving birth to the kids on November 25th.

The combined fundraiser and raffle concluded last week, and in US dollars, nearly $830 was raised.

“Over the period of the last week we have raised a massive £530 for Dan Green!” said organizer Adam Tuff at the event’s conclusion.  “We at the Sonic Stadium would like to convey our utmost gratitude to all those who donated – this is an absolutely fantastic contribution!”

The coveted statue was awarded at random to a UK based donator.
