Our First Official Indication of Progress Domestically
Many prefer to wait until official numbers come out to gauge a game’s progress. In the case of Sonic Generations, that guidance just came out on Saturday via Eurogamer. While there are no hard figures, like Chart Track, we have a rank.
Eurogamer cites an NPD analyst who claims the combined sales Generations ranked 26th for the month in North America. There are a couple numbers to consider; one is the estimated 625,000 units sold of Super Mario 3D Land, and did not make the top 10. The other number the article cites are the paltry 50,000 units sold of Rayman Origins. It is very likely that in terms of numbers, Generations falls squarely in between.
Given some of the recent estimates, if some consistency can be had, that rank could go up during December. New Chart Track UK numbers will be out later today, so after finding a plateau last week, we’ll see if the game can hold.

People must’ve went all over that Super Mario 3D Land…shesh.
@Cheddly
I know I did. And i’m still playing it.
Is Skyrim #1? Or is MW3?
@Knuckles Chaotix
I’m pretty sure its MW3.
