XBOX Live Date Still Unconfirmed
An update on the Playstation product page for Sonic CD confirms a Wednesday release date at least on the PSN side of things. A report last week suggested the December 14th release date.
The game was not mentioned on the US Playstation blog’s list of new releases this week. Interestingly enough, it also wasn’t listed on the XBOX Live side of things, either. That still opens the door for a surprise release on XBOX Live the same day, though neither Sega nor Microsoft have confirmed anything.
Also not confirmed at this point is the game’s price. A recent poll we conducted indicated $10 would be the sweet spot.

It’s so odd how retail games have release dates set months in advance, but any kind of digital release game date is unknown until like the day before =\

Usually US Playstation don’t update until Tuesday. Hopefully it’s Tuesday instead.
Took them long enough. I don’t want to continue using emulators to play my Sonic game anymore, anyway.
Xbox Live releases tend to come out on a Tuesday. So it might be tomorrow

Wow, tomorrow!? best thing is, tomorrow’s my last day of school! I’m lucky! Only $10, and I’m probably getting generations 3ds for christmas and christmas day marks my 3rd year being a sonic fan! This year is really special for me!

This date isn’t true. Check out SEGA’s replies to people from Twitter. SEGA has said the release date for Sonic CD is still not confirmed yet. Playstation probably put that date up there as a placeholder. Yay I got excited for nothing.

Sony probably paid more to Sega just to get it earlier, because generally line usually gets the goodies first.

lol ironically I’m playing Sonic CD on my SEGA CD…hopefully for the last time…as soon as I get it on PSN/Xbox Live, I’m kicking that waste of space out my window…or just putting into the closet never to be seen by the eyes another human being ever again….as it should be…lol
@Tristan – Maybe so, but if it is coming this Wednesday, then why has SEGA still not announced the release date? Maybe they just want to surprise us. Wait, you know how Ken Balough teased a bit of Ep2 news to come after the release of CD? Maybe when CD releases Wednesday, SEGA will release a trailer, and with it, an Ep2 teaser at the end? Who knows, but all will be revealed soon.

Actually, XBLA updates on a Wednesday, not Tuesday, at least here in Ireland. Usually, at about 10am – 12pm.
Anyway, can’t wait
