1500 Regular, 500 Exclusive Editions Up for Grabs
This morning, collectible manufacturer First 4 Figures made official a line of classic Tails statues that will be available later this year.
“Created in his classic design, he is zooming along Mushroom Hill Zone, with his twin tails spinning at full speed creating a wind behind him!” read a release on the F4F page. “We painstakingly added all his details and created a dynamic pose and expression that complements his personality. He is 12 inches tall – fitting perfectly in scale with the others in the series.”
As with others in the Classic Sonic line, Tails gets an exclusive edition, and it will contain special mushrooms at the base that pulsate different colors. The exclusive model will cost $199.99, while the regular mold isn’t much less expensive at $179.99. The difference is the quantity–only 500 of the exclusive variant will be made, with 1,500 of the regular edition available. For the moment, you can order both at the above cited link. To entice you, we’ve relayed a selection of shots from both models in the gallery below.

He looks superb and adorable! Attention Sega is how you pull off Tails’ helicopter style flying in 3D
This is not
Exclusive version is pretty dumb compared to some of the others. The lights feel forced and needlessly tacked on.
Love the pose though. Always love these figs. Just not enough to buy them for such an exorbitant price.
I know this is jumping the gun, but anyone else get the impression that Sonic 4 Episode II’s first zone is going to draw heavily from Mushroom Hill, like Splash Hill did from Green Hill?
@SSJSonicXX14
I see nothing wrong with Tail’s helicopter style flying in either version.
@SSJSonicXX14 But in that video he isn’t flying at top speed, he’s arriving slowly about to stop
Do want.
No money.
Feel sad.
I really love the attention to detail and art style that mimics both the games, and the concept and stock art from the 90s in this sculpture ^-^
Excellent job, First4Figures!
Wait a sec… Tails wasn’t in Mushroom Hill Zone in the non-locked-on version of Sonic & Knuckles…
@MetaRyan
My thoughts exactly.
While cool, these figurines are insanely expensive, and I’m not going to spend that much money on something that’s just going to gather dust.
Purdy…makes an excellent bedside night light too => Just too expensive for my blood right now LOLZ
I’ll get this when I have the money because it’s such a great statue; the normal one though as I don’t see the point in getting the one with lights.
