Behind the Scenes with Osaki, Katagiri

Today, Sega released a lengthy look behind the scenes of Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown‘s home console edition.

While there isn’t much in the way of direct feed gameplay footage, the trailer acts more as a sit down with AM2 developer Makoto Osaki and director Daichi Katagiri, as they explain the fighting game’s evolution from the arcades to its upcoming digital release.  Both have been with Sega for nearly 20 years each, and both have incredible insight in the franchise, and what a player wants from the series.  Be on the lookout for Katagri’s explanation on his original character concept for VF before Akira replaced him, and ultimately became the flagship face of the series.
