As Promised, Scan and Details Inside
Reliable Russian resident scener and news tipster Woun is back today to tell us he has indeed obtained the Famitsu reveal of Sonic 4: Episode II from Japan.
The scan has been posted to his Sonic Scene website, and we’ve relayed it, with unobstructive watermark in tow, below.
You can see from the scan that there are a couple but not many new screenshots in the magazine. While we don’t have a firm translation just yet (if you can help, please tip us), Woun says in his writeup that the article refers to new, original stages, and infers that the Famitsu story may hint at a mystery console release.

PC version has been announced.
It is most likely Wii U, because developers were given near final dev kits in January and many have stated that porting games from Xbox and PS3 is extremely simple. However, it could also be Vita or 3DS. However, with that being said I believe even if it is for Vita or 3DS, a Wii U will most likely happen sometime down the line just because the Wii U can run old WiiWare games (episode I), the console is fully HD, and if the eShop is any hint there will not be any stupid file size restrictions on the Wii U’s eStore (the 3DS has games and demoes over 500 MB).
They said 4, but we keep seeing 3 zones in the scans. Are they saving up for something?

My money for the mystery console release is the WiiU. Only other possible scenarios would be Wii, 3DS, and Vita; it wouldn’t make sense for SEGA to go out of their way to make a portable version when they could just port to another home console, and if the Wii were in play they probably would already have said so.

No Sonic CD for 3DS means they don’t like handhelds with actual d-pads getting these for some reason.
If they can port Episode II to an iPhone, I don’t see what the problem is porting it to the 3DS. :/

Probably, I doubt they’d reveal all of them at once like that, since it’s so early and stuff from the game has just started being revealed.
its not wii u the console doesnt exist so stop it give up nintendo fans its ipod iphone ipad or ps vita maybe or the pc
“mystery console release” makes me remember about when for a short time people thought SEGA was going back into the console business when the Episode 1 website had all those question marks all over the console section xD

Most likely a Steam PC release. Episode I (and Generations yoo) are already on Steam, so why not Episode II?
Less likely but still possible is a Wii U release. It might even be a downloadable launch title if it’s release date certainly is in May.
I highly doubt that a handheld release for the 3DS or Vita is coming for any Sonic 4 episodes, though. I think Sonic 4 is just limited to console, PC, and smartphone platforms.
How ’bout a Wii disc release?

Huh… is it weird that even tho this one is completely 3D, it’s screenshots, especially in this scan, specifically looks more “Classic” than ep 1 did? Like a small unclear picture of it looks kinda like an advancement from the last Classic game almost til you get closer.
I can’t believe no one found this out, the names of the new zones are translated as:
Silvania Castle Zone
White Park Zone

SEGA already said there will be a pc version so yeah think it will be either WII U or PSVITA
