A Pair of Big Comic Compilations
In addition to the small interview IGN held this week with Archie Sonic editor Paul Kaminski, two covers for upcoming Sonic comic compilations were revealed.
The first, for the debut of the Sonic Saga series, acts as a modern equivalent to Sonic Archives and Sonic Legacy, assembling more recent stories from the Flynn era. Still, the Legacy series will continue, and issue #2, another 512 page behemoth, with classic issues 17 through 36 covered. Legacy #2 will also feature 11 pages of new features, including production art, according to the Kaminski IGN interview.
We have cover art for both issues, watermarked, below in the gallery.

I think they’re going overboard with this. I stopped buying after Archives 14
I never liked the Darkest Storm ark anyway. The drawings were… ugh
You know, it just now occurred to me that Ben Bates would be an awesome artist for a SatAM boxset. I’m seriously thinking about picking up that Sonic Legacy book just for the cover.
That Legacy #2 cover was revealed at the end of the first book.
Yes Flynn. Please rewrite the error of the oldest issues.
I lol’d a bit at “Sonic the Hedgehog keeps going strong!” – MTV.
@B-Rad: So he isn’t?
@ Amuro I never he wasn’t. I was talking about who made that quote. Sorry if I wasn’t clear.
Never said*
yea I didn’t get it either lol. I mean MTV? Really? But I do agree the franchise as a whole is going strong and I’m loving it.
I’ve already read all these issues a bajillion times, but I love these stories so much I still wanna buy these compilations. I wonder how much they’ll cost.
I might buy the Sonic Saga Series to support Archie but I do already own those issues but I do like Behind the Scenes stuff.
